Why has he been blogging for months, but that account just started upvoting him? Probably because he is making tons of money off of @haejins trading advice.
maybe the bigger question is why did the guy buy 1mil of steem six months ago... sits and does nothing until the price of steem goes up and then suddenly discovers @haejins who just as suddenly accelerates his rate of posting so he can get large 100% votes?
Something be rotten in denmark
It may be because SBD has significantly increased in value and therefore everyone posting activity has increased. The value in $$ at this moment does not matter. I don't think people would be making such a fus if sbd was still at 1USD. It seems to have run everybody mad! People can no longer think clearly.
Most people haven't increased their posting rate due to the increase in SBD or STEEM.
Most people, especially those who have been on the platform any length of time, know full well that increasing their posting rate with short content being given huge upvotes by a whale is going to draw attention.
When that whale bought his stake around the same time as the poster, has been dormant and suddenly starts upvoting only one person, it's going to get notice.
The bottom line is if @haejin is okay with getting the huge upvotes, then he needs to be just as okay when another whale disagrees with the accumulated rewards and downvotes them.
Apparently i'm not sure what the guy thinks. It is clear that his reward per post is too high and should be limited (I do not take into consideration the actual usd value of SBD as it is at an arbitrary value at the moment generated from pure hype and speculation). The point here isn't about whether he agrees or not, but the way this matter was handled. Flaggings also damages the rep of a user and has the effect of sensoring him/her based on the weight so it isn't as simple as disagreement on rewards. Clearly people are being sensored for there opinions on this matter. Its disgusting and unprofessional. This can easily scare potential investors away.
Well, if haejin's content helped them become that big, why wouldn't they? Are You saying whales can't have favourite steemit authors? Or maybe they should be only allowed to downvote?
Hundreds of people like me upvote every post haejin creates? Why? Because we believe he deserves recognition for great work he's doing. I'm following for months now and the channel is growing like hell.
After months of people with upvoting with scraps, one big fish happens. Big fish, just like any other fish, may like or dislike content. Seems like he/she likes this one so much, that he upvotes all.
And this blessing turned out to be a curse because You get under a radar of group of self righteous sheriffs, who decide something is wrong and without any real research, they start to shoot.
It's just sick.
whales can have favorites absolutely. seems excessive though that out of 500000 accounts one account is earning 7% of the reward pool. doesnt seem like any other whales have such hardons for anyone person it just doesnt happen.
Ok, wait, so let me ask You this. What should haejin do now? PM the whale kindly asking him to stop upvoting his content? Or maybe try to do a slightly worse predictions so maybe the whale will lose his hardon?
Maybe even he should write a post saying he's sorry for whole situation. He can promise he'll try not to attract heavy hitters. Heck, he can add a line in each post "If You're above X steem power, don't follow and don't upvote because someone might get angry".
Any of those? Or maybe all of them at once?
Biggest question is can You even believe that a man carefully building his reputation for past few months, did not suddenly turn evil.
You cant seriously believe haejin is not ranchorelaxo. People are not so kind they give someone 100k why is he so special. Why put a million in steem and seemingly forget what you did with it. Six months later upvote someone for 250% of his account worth. Is he just gonna randomly fuck with people and upvote them andtriple their account value?
well, the whale can vote him up and another whale like bernie can disagree with those upvotes and downvote which cancels out the first vote.
So, he can keep posting and earning the difference between the two amounts.
