Thank you for your great tip. Yes I found steemchat a couple of days ago. and I have been making acquaintances already. This is a great way to promote posts, and talk about Steemit with others. So far I really like the chat. Of course there are jerks there too.

We always need balance, you cannot feel kindness unless you've experienced someone unkind.
I had a discussion with a friend last night about this very thing. Her opinion is that humility and kindness have to be taught. So many young people have no concept of humility or kindness because it is not taught in the home when children are young. Later in life these kids have trouble adjusting to social environments as a result. I had to agree with her on that. And then there is fluoride in our water dulling our brains, but don't get me started on that.
lol, I am up for those discussions.
Somethings are indeed true and some are a little far reaching but I believe the discussion has its place on all topics, not just the normal ones accepted. I have always frowned on people flagging someone for a flat earth post as I can find peer-reviewed articles supporting both sides from some of the top researchers in the field.
I am not claiming to be a flat-earther but find there is a place to entertain those opinions. Accepted does not equal true but neither does pointing fingers laughing sway the other side back to the truth, whichever side it may land on.
I have more respect for people presenting their facts and opinions if they can be done in a civil way, you never know what new things you could learn along the way.
Amen to that! I love hearing different views on things. I indeed learn from other opinions. It is good to hear an issue from a different view or with greater knowledge than I have on a given subject. Life is a journey. We need a balance of ideas to keep us thinking, growing and learning.
