RE: When the price goes down, Steemians get edgy and grumpy

in #steem6 years ago (edited)

Down a little more wouldn't be bad for me short term. Still want to buy more...but did just get bad news about my boiler today. Thought I might have avoided a full replacement with some repairs, but no dice. So a huge bill coming my way which probably ends my chances of buying any steem this year.

BTW, not going anywhere. @pifc and the curation contest are still alive and well also. Plus the new @minnowbuilder program has kicked off nicely. Think good things are coming.

Good news, bad news... I think we will likely drop a bit more if the crypto markets don't take off soon.

4th quarter rally would be nice...but who knows if that will happen.

To see any form of price increase in steem we need the mega accounts to stop selling for a few weeks to let the slack in the market get picked up. From there if they went back to selling the same dollar value as they currently are it would be less coins and we would see a rally. This is the downside to a very centralized "decentralized" coin.

It's a double edge sword IMO. The biggest fish sell a little each day and hold the prices down without a massive new player coming in and that means the coins get distributed better over time but our value can't go up. Or they hold more coins and their power gets even stronger but the value of steem goes up. I like both options...lol.
