Going to the woods on our farm with my Dad and brothers to cut down our Christmas Tree. We would all bundle up and walk around attempting to pick the perfect tree. I always seemed to pick the one that was about 10 feet too tall for our house which hds to be pointed out by my Dad. After leaving the farm in later years, I could not believe that most people actually bought their trees in stores. That seemed so weird to me!
We would bring the tree home where Mom was waiting to help us decorate. Looking back on this, it was perfect. We were not at the mall or out trying to buy more gifts we probably couldn't afford. We were together and that's all that mattered....your relationships are the best gifts of all.
