My best memories, was preparing the genomic DNA for a bacteria for whole genome sequencing, it was urgent so it had to be done during the x'mas!!

Glad it works well!!

My best Christmas memories are on my love. night walk in a semi-dark street, snow falls with big snowflakes but slowly, everything is white around us, in the distance christmas music is heard and small chalets with cooked wine and pastries are seen. Me and her... just perfect

nice memories.
go well………………

My memories are transporting me to my school time when I was studying at an internship. At this time, the principal of the school and his team prepared a Christmas banquet. It was very special for two reasons. First, because we could sit down with our special girl friend. Second, the food was very tasty. That's how my five years of high school passed. Five years, five good memories.
It happened in La Gran Savanna, Venezuela.

My favorite Christmas memory was 14 years ago. My family went over to my grandparents house to celebrate Christmas together. What made it extra memorable was that my younger sister got a puppy, a little Cocker Spaniel we named Marshall. She really wanted a Chiwawa so she wasn't very happy at first, but over time Marshall grew on her. Marshall is now 14 years old although he is getting up their in age, he is now an important part of our family unit. Since that time both my grandparents have passed (bless their souls), so this makes this past Christmas memory that much more important to me!

Marshall (14 years old)

His brother from another mother Barkley (2 years old)

So sweet :)

So adorable!

Aw, Marshall enjoys the snow too! Fourteen isn't that old. My cicker Sasha turned 16 a couple weeks ago. May your grandparents rest in eternal peace!

My favorite memory would be our Christmas seafood banquet.

Each year we would head up to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.

Friends and family together sharing a drink and feasting on the bounty from the ocean.

There was a luscious green park with tall trees shading an oval.

We played cricket and lawn bowls all afternoon and into the evening.

Everyone would also bring their dogs to meet and enjoy the festivities!

Merry Christmas 2017 everyone and stay safe.

Wow bro Stefan it is really good to do that kind of activity specially in Christmas, everyone will enjoy it.

Every year at the family gathering on Christmas Eve, after enjoying a wonderful potluck meal, the grandchildren in the family would put together an informal Christmas pageant as our gift to my grandparents .Some of us would recite poetry, others would play a musical instrument, and some would sing Christmas carols. The tradition continued with the great grandchildren. It delighted my grandparents. It ended with the entire family joining together to sing Christmas carols and then we each had a gift to open, that we had drawn names for. We continued the family gathering even after my grandparents died, so for 50 years of my life that was my family tradition. I have new family traditions these days, but I still miss the wonderful memories of gathering with my extended family.

Sweet memories! Which one are you (if any)?

The angel on the left is my ousins daughter, and the next two are mine. A couple of the older cousins sang OLittle Star of Bethlehem and made the costumes for the little cousins to wear and they all then sang Away in the Manger together.

My best Christmas memory was when my mom and dad were still alive and we usually have our Noche Buena ( Christmas evening dinner) exactly 12AM of the 25th with festive meal, exchanging gifts and games with the whole family. And in the morning we give kids coming to our house give-aways and we also share food to the less fortunate.
For me the true meaning of Christmas is sharing love and blessings to other people especially to those who have less. Though this should be done everyday not just during Christmas time.

Thank you @good-karma ! God bless you. Resteemed!

That's how we do Christmas too <3

That's how we celebrate Christmas here in the Philippines. :)

Every Christmas is beautiful. As a childhood, usually 2 months before Christmas, around October,I am with my Sunday school friends already really feeling that Christmas is coming soon.At that time we have obtained the scriptural liturgical verse to be uttered on the altar.
know the role in the Christmas drama. almost every day we have to practice memorizing scripture verses. In addition to the preparation, there is one activity that can not be missed before Christmas.
ie go to the market to buy Christmas clothes and other supplies with their respective parents.

from indonesian with love Merry Christmas

My best memory of Christmas was three years ago, I usually do not talk much about the subject, but I go there: my brother was very excited to have a family trip at Christmas, since we had never done it, I plan the trip during the whole year so that when Christmas arrived everything was ready and without problems. And so it was, he told the whole family that everything was ready (we are not a very big family), on what date we would travel and for how many days. The place he chose was completely isolated from the city, it was a place just for us with a pool and a very beautiful view, we had all the services and all the traditional food for Christmas. Once together we forgot our daily worries, we shared like never before, we laughed, we danced, we played and we spent hours talking, we became more integrated as a family and my brother fulfilled his dream and everything was so wonderful that when we returned to our house, the new year It was already beginning, he told us "this year we will go again". And it's something that fills me with a lot of nostalgia and sadness because when Christmas came again everything took a 180ΒΊ turn, he died that same December for reasons beyond his control. It's the best memory I have because it was literally the last Christmas we had together.

Hold these special memories close in your heart forever and please let the tears flow freely every Christmas when you think back on the incredible gift you and your brother had - time spent together. No regrets! Bless you for sharing your story!

Well I if thought about my past year Christmas days , in childhood we played a lot of games like going in friend house and playing till night.
Even these memory happy does not end here ,I have done my studies from Christan 🏫 ( St. Francie's de sales sr. Sec school).

We all celebrate Christmas party on 24 august night and my best memory among that is when I had couple dance with my favourite girl. I am in love with her and when I had dine dance with her , I am feeling very pretty ,my heart beat are pumping fast and fast. I can't express that moment🀣🀣🀣🀣 ,"I have that memory the most beautiful memory of my Christmas"

I'm torn between my childhood and grown up memories. .as a child I loved my dad making popcorn Christmas eve and my sisters and I watching Rudolph and Frosty etc. And we got to pick one present each to open . Then on Christmas morning we would wake up eat a bowl of cereal and open all our presents and get dressed and drive to Reno to play in the snow...but as an adult and you're kids are little ...and you are more excited to have them open their gifts then they are if that's possible..thats an amazing feeling..lol..the look of magic and wonder in their eyes ..I still see some now ..and they are grown :) Did I mention already that I LOVE CHRISTMAS! !

2014 ü 2015 e bağlayan yılbaşında askerlik yapıyordum ve bir cezaeviydi . Yani sıradan bir gün gibiydi. Nâbet, soğuk, kış :) diğer günlerden hicbir farkı olmayan bir gündü.

Making dozens of gingerbread cookies with my family every year, the moment is eating that first warm gingerbread cookie fresh from the oven! We all get together and my father is a pastry chef and he always makes the cookies and then we all decorate! Tables full of sprinkles, chocolate and icing and cookies!

I would like to know how to make gingerbread cookies!

Even thou I am not christian but My friends are, we used to have a lot of great time with each other ..let me tell you my favourite one, when I was a kid.
once on Christmas night me and my three friends two boy and one girl they are christians, we were playing hide and seek put we saw Santa Clause and we were amazed we started to go after him he was delivering some gifts to his nephews and other kids after about 15 minutes we just got out and grabbed him and we all were like "hey Santa Clause where is our gift " he laughed like haahaahaa and said "I had your gifts but some animal stole them" and we said "animals??? how" but that uncle was very nice person he said "I will give you yours later just wait till morning go back to your houses " we were very happy that we found Santa Clause we went back to one of our friend's house and we started tell every last bit of story. Auntie Lious was smiling and told us you guys are very lucky but usually Santa Clause dont like kids those are roming outside in Christmas night so dont go out and sleep early you will get better gifts. when she went upstairs we sneeked outside house now we were trying to find Santa Clause as matter of time we went to next street and and we sneeked into another house of my friend's friend we saw Santa Clause there too his get up was quite different and also he looked very different we asked him "where are our gifts?? you told us about two hours ago" and first he was like "huh??? " but later he said when you will sleep then I will give them to you .. I was sad that I wont get the gift because I am not christian, I told this to Auntie and she said Santa Clause is for everyone she said "he will give you definaly when you get up" I went to sleep happily. when I got up in morning I got two gifts near my door , on one my name was written that one was from Auntie Lious . I was veryy happy whole day, I told her that I got two . This one memory is too important for me.

very nice...great memory !

worth reading, great.

Yes i have a christmas memories, When i became Santa for my daughter and put some gifts at midnight behind her bed but as usual her father got up early morning and hide the gifts in other place. As i and my daughter wake up saw nothing was there. It was so shocking moment in 25/12/16 for us and he was pretending like he doesn’t know anything. πŸ˜†

My best Christmas memory was when I was 12 years old. My father had to work that season on a farm in Valle dela Pascua Edo. GuΓ‘rico Venezuela, and asked his boss for permission to take his family during that season. The boss told him that yes, not only that, but he invited us to share Christmas day with his family, they did grill, we rode horses, we played with the pigs, we bathed in the lagoon, we had a spectacular day . I still remember it as if it were yesterday.

When I was a child, around 10, 11, Christmas was the best time of the year. Actually, year seems to pass so slow between one Christmas and another. At Christmas eve (dec, 24) the whole family met to spend the night at grandmaΒ΄s. We sang Christmas carols and many other musical styles. Close to midnight we exchange presents. It was the most exciting moment of the night! We had a lot of fun then... Now my family is disintegrated; some of them died and others left the country, Nevertheless, rest of us still gather together and try to keep the candle on.
We are believers, so this time is very significant, itΒ΄s not just a party, but a spiritual commemoration, Jesus birth.

Merry Christmas to all of you!

My best Christmas memory would be the times when I couldn't sleep because of the excitement and impatience to wait for the morning. I don't even know how my parents made that time so special. We've never been one of those wealthy families, we lived OK. But my mother and father still somehow managed to get us what we (me and my sisters) wanted.
Sadly, this feeling fades away more and more every year. But I'm still very thankful to my Mom and my Dad.

family and presents!)

Being together with family and friends, seeing everyone happy and having a good time!

One of the best memories of christmas that I had way back when I was a kid, Is when the Philippine Embassy in Vietnam has found my dad, All of my family in Philippines was so worried when my dad went missing in Vietnam for about 4months my mom was crying day and night hoping and praying that the authorities would find him so that my mom would fetch him back to Philippines, good thing happen December 2007 we received a call from the Philippine Embassy in Vietnam that they had fully identified my dad and they are now ready to send my dad back to our country. I was so happy that time I thought I would lost my dad and celebrating christmas without him. Then my mom and my auntie travelled Manila to fetch him, me and my sister was very excited we we're playing Playstation 2 in the house. After hours of waiting when I turned my head to watch if someone is coming then I saw my dad standing behind our window with mom, I burst in tears and that was the first time I hugged my dad really tight and that was still the bestiest gift I ever had. I thought I would lost my dad and now we are living in harmony and abandoned business from Vietnam. A complete family is the best thing to have in life. Thank you for reading

Every Christmas is wonderful! My best Christmas memory was when my dear parents were still alive and were together. We always had a decorated Christmas tree, a lot of delicious festive meal. We dressed up in nice costumes, sang and danced, exchanged gifts and played games.
It's always been a lot of fun! I think the true meaning of Christmas is sharing love to other people!

Thank you @good-karma

My best Christmas was a doll from my father at age 4. My parents were divorced and he was not allowed to see me. He went to a store up the block and called the house. My two brothers left and came back with a large wrapped box. No name. They handed it to me. It was the most beautiful blonde baby doll with sleepy eyes I had ever seen.

That doll was my favorite toy growing up. Nobody told me who had given her to me until years later after I threw her away (all her hair was long gone) that my father had given the doll to me. I was heartbroken since he had passed away. I never got the chance to tell him how special she was to me and how it was the best gift I had ever received.

Back when I was child, we were lucky to get one gift. There were twelve of us kids, and I still visualize mom's long, cotton stockings hanging all the way up to the stairway, just waiting to be filled by Santa. At five in the morning, we were up and ready to open up our one gift, but the most important thing was the fruit, ribbon candy, nuts, and box of Life Savers--all colors of the rainbow--in our Christmas stockings!πŸŽ„

Every year my mom and I would spend so much time decorating and cooking. I swear it took us days. We'd hang all kinds of ornaments, some we bought, some we made, and every year we'd buy a new ornament to place on the tree for the new year. My mom has been gone for over 10 years now, but I still do this. Every year, I find a new ornament just like we used to, and I add it to the tree.

It used to be birds when I was younger, though I don't exactly recall why she chose those. Maybe she just thought they looked pretty perched on the branches, but in recent years they've been hard to come by. So, instead I typically buy some type of pop culture, movie, or game related ornament.

Last year it was the abominable Snowman from Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. I've also got an Alien Queen, a Zelda ornament, Jack Skellington, a Ninja Turtle, and others as well. I haven't bought one for this year yet, but after writing this I think maybe it should be a picture frame with her picture in it as it seems very fitting now, and I'm surprised I've not yet done it already.

You would think that Christmas would make me sad since she's gone, but it actually makes me happy. I pull the tree from the attic, I string the beads around the branches, I carefully place each ornament on the tree in its perfect spot, and I smile when I think about how we used to do it together. Sometimes simple things can make you happy.

My best Xmas memory was when my family and relatives would celebrate Xmas at my grandparents house. It was out in the country side and when the snow feel the landscape became breathtakingly beautiful as if tucked in with a big white blanket.

We would all gather in the living room and squeeze together. The warmth of the open fire place and the smells of cinnamon in the air still stays in my memory.

When the time got close and we knew santa was coming ( In Sweden santa visits in person to delivers the presents) would all gather by the window and then slowly away in the distance we would see the light of a lantern slowly moving towards us and the shape of santa would slowly appear.

My best christmas memory (or memories) is connected with my gradfather who has passed away just a month ago. When me and my cousins were children he used to dress himself up as a Santa Clouse. So the Santa Clouse has always visited us on a Chrismas Eve. We had no idea it was the grandpa! I remember that after that visit I always sat on my grandpa's knees and passionately told him everything about Santas visit. He always listened to me carefully and pretended to regret that he went to the toilet at that time. These are one of my earlies memories. This year, first Christmas without him is gonna be really hard and I will always come back to that happy memories of him and the time we were given together on Earth.

My first and only Christmas that I had was in the US. This was in 1991, when I was studying at an American school and lived in a host family. It was absolutely unforgettable! Visiting the Christmas service in the church, decorating the Christmas tree, buying gifts and packing them, a fun bustle ... All of this was very similar to the Russian New Year, but only looked just like it. I liked the very spirit of American Christmas, the unity with the biblical stories. I think that it was a great expirience for me! By the way, In Russia, there is no Christmas on December 25 because it is a Catholic holiday, we celebrate only the new year. Russian Orthodox Christmas is celebrated on January 7 and it is a completely different holiday, more strict and ecclesiastical.

I could not forget that christmas night when me and my cousins together with my nephews play those failed to explode firecrackers. That night we decided to collect those failed to burst out firecrackers and playfully lighting it with fire. It was my best christmas memories for it almost blind us beacause it fire-up closely in our face. Some of us had burns while some got burned eyebrows and hair. I couldn't forget it because it was my first time to be a victim of explosives however it was a great memory that made us more careful in the future.
Merry Christmas!

So far, I’ve been lucky enough to experience 25 Christmas holidays, this year will be my 26th! Now Christmas is a huge deal in my family, but as we’ve all grown older and started families of our own, there’s been a big reset in my life, especially in the way traditions are started and memories are made.

My all time favourite Christmas memory? It actually hasn’t quite happened yet. Of course it was all magical as a child for me, but last year on the 22nd December, my daughter was born, a life changing experience, only 4 days after my own birthday! Due to some complications, we didn’t get to have the β€˜Baby’s First Christmas’ in the way we had always imagined.

So this year we’ve made a redo, β€˜Baby’s First (Proper) Christmas’
To me, growing up with a separated family really took away the magic of holidays and my old memories of childhood, so this new Christmas with my own little family is all Ill ever need.
Having a child has been the single greatest part of my life so my favourite Christmas memory is yet to happen, because my favourite memory will be waking up with her in our home on a Christmas Day for the first time and seeing her eyes widen at the sight of the magic that Santa has left for her, and then every year will simply get better. This is her world now, and my best memory will be every year seeing a smile on my little girls face as she understands what it is to celebrate love, family, generosity and happiness, all in true meaning.

When I was young I remember some great things, making cookies and ginger bread houses, couples years we'd play monopoly for eight hours...... I hate that game now.
But we had a fire place, Im in a family of nine all together, one sister the rest boys.
So we'd be around the fire putting ice cubes and watch them melt of the metal frame. It'd sorta be like a whistling sound like from a tea pot.
But we'd gather around the fire watching a christmas movie. We'd poke at each other with the pets around, the room lite by the fire place and the Christmas tree.
We decorate the Christmas tree on the sixth, that's when my brothers birthday was that pasted away. We decorate the tree, visit his grave, used to go to the mall. It's been 20 years now and we still do these things together. That's why I love Christmas.

My happy moments? When i was 13 and got to fly across the USA to see my mother on Christmas for the first time in 2 years..... Was a great time seeing her after so long..... Was mad though, snowed 8 feet the day after i left lol

My best Christmas memory when i was a child we use to put and hang a pair of socks outside of the house the day before christmas believing that Santa Clause will come and give us a money or a gift, i am really happy when i pick up in the morning that i will get cash sometimes a gift, i still remember what my parents said, if you don't sleep Santa Clause will not come. then later on i find out that my parents used to put something in the socks that i hung outside, i really believe that Santa put it but kinda happy because my parents did that to us just to make us feel the spirit of Christmas.

Best Chrismas memories - spending hours with the church choir preparing for carols, and singing them in church, going around with my little band of merrry men for late night carols in front of neighbourhoold houses, prepaaring the Xmas tree and lanterns to hang outside our home, eating the best every plum cakes that relatives gifted, and that wonderful christmas lunch that mom prepared when we still lived with her.. the joy of feeling what was called christmans spirit when people tried their keep negative thoughts and their troubles away to spread a little more joy around them in that little village I once called home....

Christmas, wasn't a festival then, it was a feeling..

Our best Christmas is yet to come. We are praying for a miracle. A dear friend of ours has terminal pancreatic cancer. Her name is Kay Weiderhold. We have plans to have Christmas dinner with her and her husband Ed. She hasn't been doing well and has been bed ridden for two weeks. We spent thanksgiving with them. She thanked god for allowing her to live that long and prayed that God would give her this Christmas. We wholly believe in the power of prayer, and with the prayers of all her friends and people reading this, perhaps god would grant her wish. It is our prayer that God will heal her completely. She is a very sweet lady who has dealt with health issues all her life. If god will grant her this wish she would be happy.

You have love and faith in your heart
I also believe in the power of prayer and will say a prayer for you dear friend Kay too. Merry Christmas to your family and hers xo -Kayleigh

We visited her today. Kay is feeling better but still hasn't gotten out of bed. Ed was feeling a little down, so it was a joy to talk with him and get his mind on other things.

Every little bit better she feels is good..i'm so happy that you were able to lift Eds spirits...it so hard on caregivers especially ones caring for their loved ones..love prayers and blessings to you all -Kayleigh

My father was a "pagan" I mean not a practitioner of any religion even though he comes from a christian orthodox family he never embraced the idea of a supernatural being watching over us...
"If he is watching over us then why he is letting people die of hunger ?"
he asks...
Having said that..
We celebrated xmas every year...for him it was a social tradition and an opportunity to sign a contract for some company I guess lol
My mother is from a different religion so for her it was a kitchen party lol
Now you can imagine what kind of atmosphere is in the house by that time of the year:
A father that could care less about a tree and some lights has it not be for a social masquerade lol
A mother that thinks it is a party
and me and my brothers watching "Home Alone" on repeat thanking God every day for the holidays hahahaha
yes...I love xmas...who doesn't!!
:D

Going to the woods on our farm with my Dad and brothers to cut down our Christmas Tree. We would all bundle up and walk around attempting to pick the perfect tree. I always seemed to pick the one that was about 10 feet too tall for our house which hds to be pointed out by my Dad. After leaving the farm in later years, I could not believe that most people actually bought their trees in stores. That seemed so weird to me!
We would bring the tree home where Mom was waiting to help us decorate. Looking back on this, it was perfect. We were not at the mall or out trying to buy more gifts we probably couldn't afford. We were together and that's all that mattered....your relationships are the best gifts of all.

2017 yılına dair güzel bir ani bir kedimin olması. Zira tüm sevinç hakkımızı başladığı gece tukettik galiba ... Hos yılbaşı gecelerinde de eglenmiyoruz ama ... Gelen yıl giden yılları aratmasin tek temennim...

My Christmas miracle happened a long time ago, in December 2000, and was a miracle for someone I worked with as well!
The company I worked for were having problems, we were down to working a 3 day week!
We were the last 2 left and my colleague was given his retrenchment letter, not nice especially just before Christmas!
I had applied for another job, but was unsuccessful.
6 days before Christmas, I received a telephone call from them advising that the successful candidate turned the position down, and would I still be interested?
Well, at that stage we were not getting our wages on time, so although I was very happy working for this small family concern, I had no hesitation accepting as this was an excellent job offer!
My colleague's job was saved in the process, and we both had a fabulous Christmas that year :)

Perhaps the best is that the first came to mind. And this was the New Year from 2012 to 2013. This New Year I celebrated with my girlfriend, when the clock beat 12-ta, I invited her to become my bride. As a result, we got betrothed. This time, I'm very glad that she became my wife. We have a son who is 1,5 years old, and all thanks to this New Year.

I live in Pakistan and a muslim, so never celebrated Christmas but I remember one incident that I would like to share with you guys.

I guess it was 2010, my frinds and I were in a college to complete our final projects and suddenly we saw one of the custodians Yousaf crying like a child. He never knew that we were sitting as the classes were over and we were the only ones who were there. We went to him, asked him what happened and he told us his story that made us sad. He had been saving money from his salary from the last six months, to buy some clothes shoes for her only lovely daughter and all of those savings he had were spent on his wife’s medical treatment who was suffering from hepatitis. And not just savings, he took loans on a higher rate of interests and now unable to pay them. Being students, we had a few bucks in our pockets, gave them to him but he refused to accept them. Total loan was around PKR 70000 which is equivalent to 700 dollars approximately. One of my friends motivated all of us to help this poor man and made his Christmas day free of all tensions. We had one week, so we started a campaign. Went to each and every class, asked them to contribute some money and many of them even sold their precious things for this noble cause. On 24th of December, we had around 48000 PKR. Early in the morning, we went to his house, gave her princess some lovely gifts like shoes, clothes etc and gave 48000 to him to repay his loan. Being a christain, he never expected such a great help from Muslim students and cried like a child again but this time he was happy. It took him almot 7 to 8 months to repay his remaining loan.
No religion in this world stops you to help people of other religions!
Humanity!

My best christmas memory was the first christmas i celebrated as a married man with my wife. We were eight months old in marriage that time. We went out to see a movie and later hang out at a park to plan for the coming year. Guess what! all the projects we planned to execute were 100% executed. Never underestimate the power of unity.

thanks @good-karma for this initiative.

I'm jewish, means im celebrating Hannukah, which is a great holiday aswell. Eating dounts together as a family and talking about our day, chanukiah is great aswell. I really really like the idea of christmas tho.

My best memories was in 2012 when i gave one of my kednes to safe my fathers life. When i saw his face smiling and back again to us. That was the valuest gift i had never gave in my life. I was happy because my father is happy. ..

My best Christmas memories was when I went to the town with my girlfriend and her family, I could be two days with her, although the town is boring, but when I am with her, all it's fantastic.

I have best childhood memory of Christmas, i received the puzzle cards from Santa, it was my happiest day because i felt really happy and overwhelming, so that day is so special. Thanks for sharing the great contest.

Happy new year and Christmas day in advance.

Have a great day and stay blessed.
