Greetings!
As many of you know, SteemFest 2 is only 3 weeks away and I ran a FREE ticket giveaway to help a valuable Steemit contributor make it to SteemFest2!
I actually spent hours on this post yesterday and lost it due to Steemit.com being down. It was very frustrating and I wrote a post about it here.
Ultimately Steemit is the best place to be online, and I am more grateful than ever and super excited for SteemFest, as you can see from my latest posts:
- I wrote an article titled The 11 Best Reasons to Buy Your Ticket to Steemfest 2 that pretty clearly shows just how awesome SteemFest 1 was and how likely it is that SteemFest 2 will be at least as awesome and likely A LOT more creamy & delicious!
- I released the first interview for my SteemFest2 Speaker series titled First EVER Official Creamy & Delicious Interview With The SteemFest Stars: The Master of Ceremonies & SteemFest Visionary @roelandp ---> That's really worth checking out as @roelandp is a bad ass, and this interview is a little taste of just how great SteemFest 2 is going to be!

NOW I am going to get to the POINT, which is listing the 5 finalists for this FREE ticket give away contest.
The reason why I am listing the 5 finalists is because I am having a really tough time deciding who to select out of the many people that entered and who really want a ticket!
As you will see in my posts about the giveaway, my MAIN criteria is not who NEEDS it most, but who is going to contribute the most to Steemit and SteemFest2. I want to reward and support the Steemian who is doing the most for the success of Steemit and SteemFest2!
There were a lot of great entries by a lot of passionate Steemians. I would love for you ALL to go regardless of winning the ticket, but I can only choose one for this contest!
This is a super difficult decision and I need some help making my final decision.
So here are the 5 finalists!

- @acromott is new to Steemit but posting a lot and well liked. He is going to share acro yoga at SteemFest and was nominated by his good friend @karensuestudios who won a ticket and is doing acro yoga as well!
- @inquiringtimes was nominated and supported by many. Here is his post about wanting to go to SteemFest2!
- @martibis is going to hitchhike all the way to SteemFest if he wins the ticket!
These are my top 5 finalists as I feel that they are all very involved in Steemit already, all capable of going to SteemFest if they win, and maybe even going regardless but could use the extra help of a gifted ticket. I also feel that they are unique and will bring fun and amplification to the SteemFest experience!
They all have their special characteristics, and it's so hard to say who "deserves it most". I didn't really realize this was going to be so difficult to choose as I somehow feel like I am not just choosing a winner but somehow discrediting others. That is NOT my intention and yes I am giving away a FREE ticket so there is no right to complain, yet I still have a little bit of the feelings. So I would appreciate your input, as my over all goal is to contribute to the success of Steemit and SteemFest as much as possible!
Steemfest last year was a big success and really highlights how awesome Steemit is, in a full on weekend Super Fest celebrating everything SteemTastic about Steemit!

Last year I had a ticket to SteemFest and was scheduled to go, but the birth of my first son changed that at the last minute. Instead, I sponsored travel expenses for @saramiller and @everlove to go in my stead. They will tell you first hand that SteemFest was truly epic!

I truly believe Steemit has the potential to be revolutionary, and I know there are a lot of really awake and inspired people here on Steemit that just need a little help and inspiration to make it to the most Fantastic Fest on the Planet, SteemFest!
I want to help promote SteemFest, as it is a truly worthy cause and @roelandp and other dedicated Steemians have put in so much time, energy, and finances into making this happen two years in a row!

Openmic is such a brilliant idea. It has made people get together to look at everyone elses talents. I was hiding in a shell for years until I found the contest. It helped me to open up and finally share a performance. So, it has helped my confidence grow, just in a week, and has let people find what I can do.
This has all happened because of luzcypher so he definitely deserves to go!!

One of the coolest things about this ticket giveaway is, not only do I get to feel the love and support of the Steemit community, but I get to discover other Steemians doing good work on the platform.

I've been supporting @inquiringtimes for nearly my entire time here on Steemit and he has my vote in this contest as well. @inquiringtimes has been plenty of good for the community and provides value content to the platform under a variety of different areas of interest. Check out his blog and see for yourself. He may be a bit of an underdog in this race, as 1 contest did seem to be mentioned a lot above, but I hope the support of the community is what gets him the trip in the long run. Good luck and enjoy to all those attending this year. Hopefully I will be able to go next year when I am more of a veteran of the platform as well.

<3 actually, I've been trying to find @sixersfeds both on discord and steemit.chat. as much as I appreciate his support, I don't even know him apart from the occasional comment, and to notice him in the "upvotes section". So, yeah buddy, if you do the chat thing, hit me up! I have the same name, both places!
I don't use steemiit chat much but do have an account there and respond to all legitimate messages. Already responded to you actually.
Yeah, I don't have an account there yet but hope to join discord soon and get the mobile app and it seems that's the main app people use to communicate one on one from here. I'll be sure to get ahold of you when I get on there.

I also have a lot of respect for people who hitchhike as I have done it a lot my self and it is not easy nor convenient. It takes a lot of mental strength as well as physical ability to deal with a lot of uncomfortable situations.

I have to imagine that hitchhiking in Thailand is very easy. I have never been around such open and helpful people in my life. If I'm lost or confused in my city travels - people leap to help me and stop their own plans to get me where I need to be. I'm sure they veer over eagerly to get you off the road.
Yes, it generally is but communication sometimes is a little hard! I feel most Thai people don't really understand why a "farang" is hitchhiking, but once you explain why you like it they seem very glad to help you out and give you a ride! It's also one of the few countries where I found it easier being on the road as opposed to being in a gas station!
I feel most Thai people don't really understand anything about a "farang" and that is why they are so curious. I speak only a few Thai words but have so many friends here! I think any other country after this will be a letdown :)
Well, I guess it kind of depends where you go! But I do really love the mentality, very friendly people genuinely speaking indeed!
Well, I do really like Thailand, but I like Costa Rica even more! I'm obviously biased as I've lived there for 6 months, haha!
