When I seen this idea post first at https://steemthat.com in the community feed my wheels were turning instantly. We are using some code that we modified from @mkt 's widget generator that would allow us to build this extremely fast. Then I read the link which was shared that took me to Utop where I was thrilled to see someone I know have a successful submission. I would love to see less moderation, less rules and more support for the community from that platform. Stay true to Steemit and the white paper! >>>>End rant!

Is there going to be any sort of protection mechanism to prevent abuse? I'm thinking of a scenario such as a scammer with an alt account or possibly two scammers.
Let's say scammer A creates flea market post for a TV with X upvote target but has already determined they will give the TV to scammer B. Scammer B receives and returns item. Scammer A receives item back and they share the reward payout.
I believe it is a novel concept which will need to be carefully considered. I see it being potentially a great thing for honest people with needs but obviously may be corrupted by those with greed.
What are some possible solutions to this scenario? I need to form a dev group for Steem Flea Market So we can all discuss these things and have a solution for such events.

I was thinking about that. Maybe a third party or group making the decision of who receives the item would help mitigate this. Some sort of working group would be a good start. I look forward to seeing this develop

This sounds like it could be solution. We will also need people to somehow verify their exchange...photographs? What @anthonyadavisii as also a concern in my mind, but I'm still looking for a solution to this possible scenario and will need a few days to brainstorm it. For now, maybe we can just post items for sale like @macchiata mentioned:
