Of course we were hoping for someone else to submit our website Criticker but we didn't see anything against the @steemhunt guidelines that we can't submit our own project.
We started Criticker over 12 years ago and providing one of the best and independent movie recommendations on the internet. Over the years we added TV and Game recommendations as well.
We're just a a team of two without any sponsors and funding guaranteeing you recommendations without the impact of investors.
The site is free to use and also has a very active movie forum including members who signed up right at the beginning, they're still around.
To get started and to receive your first recommendations start ranking your first 10 titles and sign up for the free account. After that we're able calculate your first PSI (probable score index). The more you rank the better we can fine tune your recommendations.
We're eager to implement SMT, which would lift our platform onto a whole new level.

Thank you so much for your feedback and we're happy you checked it out. We're constantly updating our site, for 12 years. But we're slow, Mike is the only one who codes and none of us is good in web design.
P.S. you're not hurting our feelings, we get that constantly.
Hahaha, great! Phew! Not too harp on too much... but you could basically hold a competition on Steem for people to suggest designs... and then maybe work with the one you like best? Steem has a lot of potential resources at your fingertips.
Yes - we just talked to the awesome people from @utopian-io and we're thinking to maybe go open source. That would give us incredible resources.

Hi @criticker, you should totally open-source it and put it on @utopian-io... it'll make it more visible AND some developers might help you out with tasks if you submit them... and you won't even have to pay them, Utopian will handle that side.
We're tempted the only problem is that we invested 12 years into the project without getting too much back in return. But now someone could in theory download our code, start their own recommendation page and bypass us in a year if they're better than us in marketing. That's what is holding us back :(
Of course... that's everyone's concern when going for Open Source... but don't forget you've got 12 years of experience above anyone else, and you'd have your own database right... it'd be hard for anyone to catch up quickly.
That's probably true. We just talked to @utopian-io today so we're def. floating the idea and it would be amazing to have a backup for a thousand other talented people. Thank you for those encouraging words.
