A minnow exploring Steemit
(I up-vote all comments on my blogs) The ocean is large, and it takes time and care to navigate. So much is happening around you, but the waters are wide and deep and so you need time and energy to navigate and seek out the potential of the Steemit world.
Here is some of what I've found and produced in the past week
Donations to a worthy cause: Following a heads up from one of my favourite Witnesses, I found out just how quickly the Steemit blockchain can rally in support of a user in need. The answer, faster than a bitcoin transaction! Well done to all involved.
Delegating Steem Power: It has been a long time coming, as I've been in receipt of help from the #minnowsupport project for months now. Finally, I spent some time researching how to do this and gave 50 delegated SP. More support is required, so if you've been supported, now would be a good time return the favour. Here's how
Buying delegated Steem Power for a month: Just recently, I paid 6 Steem for 300 Steem Power, delegated to me for a month. When my voting power recovers (yes I've been showing a lot of love the past few days!), I'll have around 20% more power than usual! See @demotruk and his recent blog for details. Thanks man!
Up-voting like a madman!: Whoops! My voting power is at 44% I vote almost exclusively on a manual basis, and have been supporting as much decent content and comments as I can find. Excuse the upcoming short rest, I may have found another way to support you though...
Sending out @lovejuice to Minnows needing a boost: @lovejuice is a great way to show some love when your Vote Power is low. I've been using this bot to boost posts and it's working both ways, with the receivers visiting and commenting on my blogs in return. Cheers @aggroed !

I agree with you about minnows needing a boost! I think that during the first month of posting on steem they should implement a boost. Enabling the small fish a chance to gain followers and reputation by commenting and curating others posts.

Thanks! Yes it's key for long term engagement. There are plenty of bots to help you get the votes, which will increase rep. Post quality and time in the market is key though!
You're keeping busy, huh? :D It's great that you are making sure to spread the love around. My voting power is also pretty low, but that's not really a problem, it's like having your voting slider permanently adjusted a bit lower. As I don't have that much SP, I don't get the slider and 10 votes per day are by no means enough for me, so I am voting as much as I want and I'm letting things work out on their own.

Hey the slider is on the esteem app and somewhere else that i can't remember off the top of my head.
It's much better when you reach 500 Steem Power, you can spread the love around much better - although as i've shown, it's still quite easy to go a bit mad with it! Cheers for stopping by, max up-vote at $0.12 :)
You can spread the love around without the slider, dropping it down by voting is exactly the same as dropping it down manually. What you lack when you don't have the slider is the option to give more powerful upvotes when you want to like right now. ;)
I know about the esteem app, but interacting with the platform on steemit is still a better experience for me especially if I want to write a comment or two, not just voting.
Fair points. And currently I much prefer the web interface over anything else also.
