I agree with you about minnows needing a boost! I think that during the first month of posting on steem they should implement a boost. Enabling the small fish a chance to gain followers and reputation by commenting and curating others posts.

Thanks! Yes it's key for long term engagement. There are plenty of bots to help you get the votes, which will increase rep. Post quality and time in the market is key though!
