very detailed, informative feedback! Thank you @papa-pepper - whilst it is nice to make a few SBD and covert real money (hell, I have had 3 cups of coffee from steem with REAL money from steemit), hopefully, the intrinsic value of the community will rise again

Yeah, there is more to get out of steemit that money, and you'd better be comfortable with that fact, especially when the money does not come!
I've already bought a few meals, tanks of gas, and a few farm animals because of steemit!
