RE: Content Crusaders: The Fight to Save Steemit Will Fail

This. This right here is fantastic. I'm a fiction writer here (though recently I've been working on a book for publishing so I've been inactive), but I have no disparaging remarks whatsoever against the type of content people put up. Preferences about content are subjective. They're nothing but subjective. We're not talking about universal ethics here; we're talking about what people want to read/see, and that can only ever be subjective.

That there are people on here complaining that a type of post should be flagged/downvoted is ridiculous. Unless that blogger is actually manipulating or defrauding people, I don't see the issue. I'm not much of a sports fan, but keep it up man! You're doing good work.

Thank you - I appreciate that.

Yeah, it's pretty silly that people can't be happy with what they're getting from their own posts and feel the need to try to silence or push out other people because of some misguided perception of their own greatness. If someone wants to post a cat meme, go for it. That doesn't mean I'll upvote it (I actually might), but I'm certainly not going to tell them that their post is worthless and they shouldn't be posting here. That's just a little bit counterproductive if the goal is to expand the user base - or to have mass adoption.
