Yeah, it's pretty silly that people can't be happy with what they're getting from their own posts and feel the need to try to silence or push out other people because of some misguided perception of their own greatness. If someone wants to post a cat meme, go for it. That doesn't mean I'll upvote it (I actually might), but I'm certainly not going to tell them that their post is worthless and they shouldn't be posting here. That's just a little bit counterproductive if the goal is to expand the user base - or to have mass adoption.
