Really hope they fine-tune the busy beta interface, which would be a real and much better alternative then.
I've been pretty annoyed by the recent troubles myself. We've had these moments before, but they usually don't last long. It's been going on for way too long now. I try to remember to copy everything before posting, but it's not only that. Upvotes don't always go through either and I sometimes have to refresh the page several times before an upvote gets registered.
I really hope it gets fixed soon...

yeah... I use https://stackedit.io/editor already, but too lazy to always open it. maybe I should do this every time...
Don't use Stackedit there are major flaws and you can end up losing all your work on there. Use https://draftin.com instead, it really is an excellent tool and auto saves drafts every 20 seconds or so, plus it deals with Markdown.

Yeah even with the sync there are issues, and the dev just ignores everyone on Github, even if you've paid for the software, he's a total asshole.
But yeah, Draft is way more superior, for instance you can open two windows of it without it freaking out :-)

it doesn't have split view, to see how your markdown actually looks like?
You have a split view option at the top, or you just cmndE jump from view to view.
There are quite a few different view options, I only use one though.

I do not want to go to another platform. It's hard enough to learn this one. I'm sure not inviting my blogger friends. I can't believe I have been here 4 months and I'm still not willing to ask people to join. None of my sticking points have improved and now certain things are getting worse.
I think this is a residue from the ddos attack - I think there will be more attacks since this is a non-censored place. I hope somehow the witnesses will throw some 24/7 attention and money to fighting attacks. It's not like those in power want this to succeed.

If so, this is a real test of how it works to handle this much traffic and it's not even that much compared to facebook. I doubt the DDOS attacks haven't been blocked yet. So, it will be interesting to see a post on this from the devs. Please point me to one if you know of one. thanks :-)

Have you tried the eSteem app? I find it a much better way of interacting with Steem blockchain in most situations.

I use eSteem a lot, it has a save feature that is great. But just now in my phone I tried to upvote on just the web interface ( on Safari) and am having a difficulty... I will keep working for a 100%er. Copying this reply before submission!

I might sound like Captain Hindsight, but since I lost my very first post I've learned the lesson, and been doing 10-min periodic notepad backups every time I blog ever since. (Tip: Notepad++ is the best). I am personally not really annoyed by this, I could even say I kind of enjoy the semi-manual touch and feel of Steemit.
Also you could use busy.org steem blockchain client, which has a nicer interface :)

Very sad and frustrating. I made a similar call out to them with very similar title. I hope they can "Get their shit together" sooner rather than later. Maybe slow down on HF21 and the SMT's and fix what is really not working first.
