I am very anxious about the various contests, because I don't have the right skill skill set for it, I 'm not much interested in photography, I'm not very arty, also I don't do creative writing too much. Also the the contests have many professionals in them so It's very difficult to win.
So all the progress I make on Steemit, is by using logic, using the rules, being consistent, not using time consuming posts, just being efficicient to make steem. But it is a mistake, because contests can give you a lot of Steem Power & SBD.

You are absolutely right @rlt47. There are many professionals in the competitions. But we can never win if we do not compete with them. With time we can be professional. NEVER GIVE UP.

To add what you have said, not only is important not to give up and keep trying. It is important the all our members understand we do Stemmit for the love of it, also then we choose the contests we love. So even though I don't win I am still satisfied. The money is little and it's a bonus, to get paid to have fun. But one day all our fun will add up and pay us well. :)) This is why I have decided from now on I will do lots of contests.

You made a very good decision. I hope you succeed. I have concerns about getting a good payment. Because the SBD is constantly in decline. :)

I don't worry about the decline of the SBD. At the moment it is still higher than the $, but all crypto is still trying to find mass adoption. In future they will find their place. :)
Hello @rlt47, I'm glad you have changed your mind and started to join contests actively. Please share with us your achievements if any. @ainie.kashif - Thank you for bring up the topic of contest. Previous I didn't know how many there were, and those that I did know, didn't appeal to me much.
You know my motto of quick and easy (lol). I certainly found some that appealed to that side of me.
Besides that, I always enjoy a little challenge and so this post gave me an opportunity to challenge some of my creative writing skills - something that I do not take to naturally.
So I think a found a little something in me that enjoys poetic contests. (uff - Can you believe it, Hha!)
