Auto Vote should not be made active at all. First, because it is not the correct way to judge a post. Secondly, it takes away the right of a reader that is reading the article before making his/her decision to vote or not. Thirdly, as I was told 'If I am taking my post from another source, I might lose the favor of there vote.' I prefer them not to have this auto vote system at ALL. It is no justice of any kind to the ones taking there time and writing there post while others have no promotion to do to get upvoted.
This are my own thoughts. I surely would like to know yours. Take this note to the table so the skilled sources can work on it.
Thank you for reading.
Lots of people comment but do not upvote. That doesn't make anyones post or comment less valueable. We should be fine with the flow to read and than process.
I agree ;)
It is a corrupted system of auto upvoting
Unless it's a friend you want to support who only cares about he money I believe manual voting is the best way to do things as well as it gives you the oppotunity to engage with their post and see if it is really deserving of your upvote.
Auto vote is made for the ones who are not on the system or near the computer often and they have their select authors to follow. But most of us have made it a greed.
Couldn't agree more!
that's a complex post. I appreciate your work
Hi @bhavnapatel68,
I had used SteemVote before HF19 but I only auto upvoted authors which I had followed too.
My reason was to get more curation rewards. Because when you vote early and people voting after you, you get a little more rewards. So I was voting after 25 minutes after publication even when I wasn't online.
Later I checked my account, I was reading the articles, and decided if I revoke my vote or not.
That was my way of supporting the authors I follow and also making a little for myself too.
My method is not working if you follow too many people and not able to check what you've voted for. In that case I would agree with your opinion.
I agree on what you say. I did too. But if we see the new ones coming in the system per day, now if we give them a chance to do something for themselves it might be helpful and they might have hopes to stay. Right now this auto vote system is blocking it for the new ones, by the old ones sticking to auto votes to the authors that are already wealthy and the newbies are not getting any good rewards. It takes many people to learn how the system works.
Yes, you got a very good perspective on that!
That's the reason I'm not using autovote anymore. After HF19 it has drained my voting power very quickly and I wasn't able to vote on new stuff.
Why autovote someone who already making hundreds of dollars, anyway?
I just hope the board take this into consideration. Thank you kindly.
I agree. I am not aware of this that it exist.
