RE: Auto Vote

in #steemit8 years ago

Hi @bhavnapatel68,

I had used SteemVote before HF19 but I only auto upvoted authors which I had followed too.

My reason was to get more curation rewards. Because when you vote early and people voting after you, you get a little more rewards. So I was voting after 25 minutes after publication even when I wasn't online.

Later I checked my account, I was reading the articles, and decided if I revoke my vote or not.

That was my way of supporting the authors I follow and also making a little for myself too.

My method is not working if you follow too many people and not able to check what you've voted for. In that case I would agree with your opinion.

I agree on what you say. I did too. But if we see the new ones coming in the system per day, now if we give them a chance to do something for themselves it might be helpful and they might have hopes to stay. Right now this auto vote system is blocking it for the new ones, by the old ones sticking to auto votes to the authors that are already wealthy and the newbies are not getting any good rewards. It takes many people to learn how the system works.

Yes, you got a very good perspective on that!

That's the reason I'm not using autovote anymore. After HF19 it has drained my voting power very quickly and I wasn't able to vote on new stuff.

Why autovote someone who already making hundreds of dollars, anyway?

I just hope the board take this into consideration. Thank you kindly.
