RE: STEEMIT Revolution: It's NOT Communism!

in #steemit7 years ago

nice post.
now Venus project I have seen that many years ago beside the fact that the guy (don't remember his name) is a bit freaky I just don't like futuristic clean white wall utopian bullshit, I don't think the future should look like this and if it does it's bloody boring to my taste...
I like our city streets, broken gutters, the stains on the footpaths and the street art all over the place. the rear entrance in a narrow street with the bins and the stray cats, and the squished wet newspaper against the kerb. the venus project is way to biblical and fucking perfect I like things gritty a bit dirty, noisy and wild with nice old buildings and a squat with broken tv's and steam punk barbies at the windows in the corner street next to a cheap motel where we can hear a busker enjoying his music for a few coins from the peeps passing by.

I ain't communist either, and politics are a freak show, I have only very little time for.
however It comes back to my previous comment on your other post, it's the fact that peeps jumping in crypto don't even know what they are investing their money in. ripple sound safe for a lot of people they don't care who rules they think short term investment quick $$. there is nothing we can do beside understanding and keeping a step back to the big pictures and make the right choices for ourself I won't advocate 1 coin more than another to anyone, like you said we are marching towards a shift not to make people smarter about their power but even more dependent on institutions to protect their assets, I'm thinking that one day blockchain might be putting chains on our feet if the sharks play well this turn of events.

you've never thought that what we praise today could be our enslavement of tomorrow ? I'm a 1984 kind of sheep ya know ^^

You, my friend, deserved a 100% upvote... even if that is just a little bit due to my level. However, you said it all.

I don't like gritty broken TVs, but I don't like shiny white walls either. And I am aware of the dangers as well... 2018 will be a vital year to get to know what will happen.
