I see your edit, I just joined recently, duh, I had no idea about steemit until a friend told me about it and I was hesitant to join because of how it's clearly set up like a potential cashout pyramid scheme by the founders, but after a few comments I realized that sometimes just talking to people was sort of worth my time if I was going to be able to eventually turn those 30 or 50 or 80 dollar comments into seed money for the project. I don't make much but I don't personally require much money to live so it's not like I'm here to get rich, the dystopian feeling of wading through posts that are voted on for thousands by a handful of circle-jerkers while tens of thousands of people from Bangladesh, India, the Philippines, Indonesia, Nigeria, etc. struggle to make a few cents on posts or comments and borrow money/SP and buy votes from already rich people is really fucking disturbing in how they're being exploited and told they can get rich some day by tons of the big posters here though.

I do enjoy life, and I enjoy whale hunting and nabbing a vote on a comment and knowing that I'm saving it for my UBI project, because I feel like we're missing the carrot in the carrot and stick equation when it comes to "dealing" with spammers and the flood of new users from impoverished nations. And I knew there was no possible way to get my own blog posts to generate the returns necessary in a short a time span as I collected my comment money so I feel like I did okay with the time I've invested here.

Thanks, but as long as you keep flagging shitposts that still benefits my goals in an indirect manner so I'm fine with that, it frees up the reward pool for actual things of value. Have a good one, I know you're probably a busy person with all this crap to swim through daily. Tbh I was already going to make a rant post about another witness who downvoted some guy for speaking his mind but this is just the most recent thing to have happened and I was bored. At the rate that the Tether corporation is able to collude with the exchanges to save the price of bitcoin I feel like I'm going to die of old age before I'll be able to buy back in to steem at my desired pricepoint, rofl. Be careful out there, shit looks dangerous.
