For all of my fellow followers and collectors of faucets, I wanted to clue you all in on a new offering from the micro-wallet Coinpot. If you do not know what Coinpot is, Coinpot is a micro-wallet that collects facuet claims from six different faucets. Those faucets are Moon Bitcoin, Moon Dashcoin, Moon Bitcoin Cash, Moon Dogecoin, Moon Litecoin, Bonus Bitcoin and Bitcoin Fun. The main benefit of this micro-wallet is that the user does not have to build up a certain amount of coins to withdraw into a regular wallet. This wallet also allows you to exchange between these five currencies, free of charge to take advantage of exchange rates as well as they allow the user to browser mine. Browser mining is inefficient and is really on something that I would suggest doing this if the user is already using the computer for other reason as long term just letting it mine would cost more in electricity than actual earnings. Alas, that is another argument for another day.
What I am here to talk about is the introduction of Coinpot tokens to the list of assets that we can accumulate in this micro-wallet. The tokens are an internal coin, it is not tradable on any exchange so be aware of that. Three tokens are earned each time one of these faucets are collected and can be mined through the browser. You might ask, “if they can’t be exchanged on an exchange, then what use do they have?” And I would respond with, “that is a wonderful question, thank you for asking!!!?
These tokens essentially have two functions. Coinpot now has a lottery. One token can purchase one lottery ticket. The lottery is drawn every hour and the reward is all the tokens used to buy lottery tickets plus one thousand tokens. The token’s other purpose is for exchange. The exchange rate is not outrageous, but it is better than nothing. Currently, the token exchanges for 0.035 Dogecoin, so the user would need about 30 tokens to get one Dogecoin. Therefore, every 10 claims gets you an extra Dogecoin.
The user is not going to get rich from this asset, but it is passive way to earn a little extra crypto. I have included some referral links to the faucets anyone is interested. One more thing, please make sure that you have good virus software for collecting faucets. It is not that all faucets are bad, some are, but sometimes the banner ads will contain stuff you really don't want on your computer. Ideally, the best strategy for claiming faucets is using a virtual box for your computer to keep everything safe. Good luck, and happy collecting.
The lottery looks interesting. Winner would get over 30 dogecoins if they exchanged their winnings.
I personally could earn that much through steemit in an hour. What I mean by that is if I can having someone upvote one of my comments or post with at least $0.06 reward I technically earned ~30 Dogecoins.
Not saying I am not using faucets, but focusing on payouts one can understand spending more time on steemit versus faucets will likely earn more. Thanks.
You are completely right. I look at this as more of a tool for users who need to build Steem Power and don't want to invest a bunch of cash. That is going to be my focus while Steem is cheap, I want to build up my Steem power over the next couple months.
That slow trickle certainly adds up, though. I'm finally to the 100% daily login bonus, which helps a ton with my payouts. I could be claiming more often than I actually am, but whatevs. I have a life outside of crypto...
