I worked at Newsbud around this time last year, and left last August because of similar dishonest, self-destructive behavior from those two. I've been thinking this over since I saw this same excerpt in your larger podcast about the beef your fact-checking. I only use Twitter to send out my links to the BitCoin faucets I hope to gain referrals for. I looked it up & I haven't gotten one referral from Twitter so..... Byby Twitter!

I think Twitter used to be good. It pushed me further along the "waking up" route around 2011-12, mainly because I had cognitive dissonance about some of the tweets I was reading, and then clicked on their links...
But my account has been dormant for the past few years - due to people following me just to promote their business to me; bots following me and then unfollowing as soon as I followed back; less engagement and more selling I suppose. In the early days I found it a very friendly medium.
Just terminated my Twitter account in the last hour. Never used it much anyway, never saw a point in it. It was something I wanted to do for a while, but procrastination had taken the best of me! :) Step by step, I'm going decentralized and free from tyranny.

I deleted one of my Twitter accounts, three of my Facebook pages and one of my Reddit accounts two weeks ago, but not the ones for my business. Still deciding if I can - and want to - disconnect that aspect of my life from these large networks.
I still believe Steem - or something like it - will be the future / model for our social networks. User controlled, funded and encrypted from soup to nuts!
I hate Twitter!. I'm still there, but I rarely even look at my page anymore. I've had some really hateful comments, too and I am a nobody channel! I lean toward conservative, libertarian values and I feel vastly outnumbered there. I like how you coined the term "ThemTube" for youtube. I feel the same thing there. It is a hard left leaning organization and the censorship is getting to be insane.
I would join you but I have never found a use for twitter beyond reading Trump's tweets and you don't have to log in to do that.
I deleted my twitter on January 2, 2018 and have not missed it one bit! FB was permanently deleted a year ago.
Hmmm, if I were to guess, I'd say I've spent about 1 -2 hours MAX on Twitter in the last 9 years. I could never really make sense of it, never saw how it added value for me. So, delete it? Sure, why not, when I get a chance (or if I remember)...I actually can't even think of the last time I was on there, but next time I get on, I'll delete :)

I’ve been blocked for calling the candidate for governor of Illinois a fucking COMMUNIST . LOL 😆 I was just recently blocked for getting into an intense fight with what I believe was a CIA troll . And when I told IT I would sue its ass for slander BOOM . BLOCKED , so I was RIGHT . This piece of crap could only respond with memes using my face , or other people’s faces . Which to me shows low intelligence . I NEVER liked twitter . I always thought it was a limited way of communicating . I mean really what can you say of any substance in 140 characters ⁉️NOTHING but smart ass remarks and memes 😆 I caught this little bitch in his own shit and then he tried playing off . Twitter is just full of CIA trolls and despondent infintiles trying to become popular and not really concerned about the facts . Twitter has been repeatedly asking me to UN-BLOCK my account but I must give them my phone number to as they say VERIFY that it is me ⁉️😆😂🤣 Yeah right . You can’t be trusted with my freedom of speech but then I’m going to give you my phone number ⁉️ LOL 😆 How delusional are they ❓I’m not going to completely close the account yet because I see lawsuits on the horizon for data farming , and I want in on that ass 😁 . I've never been a fan of any centralized social media, and I was reluctant to join steemit, as it can also be a huge time consumer.
I'm curious to know what James thinks of steemit, as an alternative to most social networks?

I used to use it as a travel writer to get stuff out there but it came down to getting more jobs as a freelancer you had to brag how many followers are to prove how much of an "influencer" you are to get more jobs.
