This is great, showing a good example and explaining the good points can really help other users that are feeling discouraged and really struggling to get a good start. I'm sure that a lot of people will try to follow the good example that @sirwinchester has already set, without trying to copy him too much.
I hope that more of the "big fish", as you may call users like you, shared such posts that can actually help people understand what is important and give a good example how to do things here on steemit.com in order to get noticed and have a good start on their experience and not get frustrated and stop using and leave the platform because of that.
I for sure haven't given up and will continue to try and be a helpful member of the steemit community as much as I can and like I have been so far, or at least I hope I have been... :)
There is just one important thing to note that some people may not be even thinking about, and that is the fact that there are quite a lot of people here, including myself, that are trying to write in English, but for whom this is not their native language and thus they may not be great at it. I’m getting the feeling that the treatment for everyone here that does not write in his native language, but is trying to write in not so good English is the same ("Oh! This person is bad at writing, don't bother with him, find somebody that can write properly.")... just something for the people that have English as a native language to think about.
