The Most Original Title You’ve Seen All Day

in #steemit5 years ago (edited)

A 20 or 30k SP delegation up front with a 180 day double-up clause guaranteed at 40 or 60k contingent upon my production would’ve been nice but it didn’t happen—so much for that. #steemfest tickets, roundtrip airfare for two, and somewhere to crash in Thailand the first part of November would’ve been nice, too, I should’ve asked for that. Only thing better would’ve been the tickets and the delegation combined but, I’m not picky, I would’ve settled for either given the opportunity.

Trending this morning—go, HF22!I never had the opportunity. I not only did not get #steemfest tickets, I didn’t even get #steemfest monopoly money tickets and, the 30k SP and all of that clause guarantee whatever stuff I said, that never happened either. I’ll share some of the blame here, in all fairness, it’s just as much my fault as it is yours. The one feeling I try not to bring to the Internet with me when I’m on this thing might’ve been crushed if you missed my Steemit birthday had I not missed it myself. Speaking of things I’d rather you didn’t miss—check out second place in

Eh, @steemitboard, maybe a little heads up next time, I’m thinking a three or four day window prior to my three-year blockchain anniversary will be nice so I have time to put together a wish list—kidding! Totally kidding. Thanks for keeping an eye on me @steemitboard! According to them, I’ve been doing this for...

..years now.

Years now. <— In case you missed the first one. Is that the weakest cover image in my two year career or what?! Pretend it’s cooler than that. When you go there, click on ‘personal,’ you’ll see: Two Years On The Steem Blockchain. Yup, I did that. Two years doing anything backed by an unpredictable bear market is worth mentioning—hence I mentioned it. It’s more than one year, we all can agree on that. I think it’s easier to have this much interaction with someone for two years, whom you’ve never met, versus this much interaction for two years with someone whom you’ve known your whole life—you know what? Scratch that, don’t tell anyone I said that.

I’ve learned a lot here. I’m repeating myself to a bunch of you but this is my first social media type experience with the exception of MySpace. The first two years have been an exciting learning process. Nothing is given here and no author takes anything for granted. As much as the content creator wants their most recent article to be their best material to date, it’s what the viewer expects. The #steem blockchain isn’t a playground where everyone gets a turn, it’s a platform where everyone who deserves a turn earned it.

I’m learning how to deal with complications surrounding a satire type persona on the blockchain—don’t! It’s tough to be funny when you’re the only one you know is laughing and everyone else is on the other side of a screen where they can’t see your manurisms, facial movements, hand gestures, nothing. Add to that, we’re surrounded by a plethora of cultures who don’t necessarily laugh at the same things you think are funny. It may not even be in their culture to laugh, imagine that—trying to make a person laugh who’s not allowed to laugh. Like driving a car without an engine—or transmission, no tires, no seats or windows or anything, either, there’s actually no car there at all and here you are expected to drive the thing—virtually impossible.

Manchester England.Nice to know you’re still here—thanks for sticking around. What I’m trying to say is, thanks for supporting what I’ve been doing around here the past two years. Thanks for all of your resteems, your encouraging words, your Upvotes, of course thank you for the Upvotes. I hate to sound cliche but, without you, I wouldn’t be here. No, really, I wouldn’t be here—on the top level of this public bus thumb punching a birthday letter to all of my virtual friends on #steemit while en route to

I’m going to let you in on a secret, it’s just us here, right? I’m going for that seven day award..... again. Remember back in April when I posted seven days in a row so I could unlock that “weekly author” award? Well, here’s how the award sets today:

E99093F7-A32E-4533-9BA4-ECD49C9A1371.jpeg

(again) to release my award (again)I found out today was my Steemit birthday and was “yes! I have something to punch my thumbs about on the train.” Saturday is Pura’s birthday, birth birth, not block birth. I’ll try to get Saturday’s post typed up tomorrow so I’m not the guy who played with his phone so much during his wife’s birth-birthday he went blind—don’t want to be that guy! Sunday will just be a reminder letter to @steemitboard , that shouldn’t be too bad. @foodfightfriday tomorrow, that’s five in a row, although I haven’t snapped any food pictures yet this week—only one way to find out what it looks like when everything works out the way it’s supposed to. It starts with the post button on this one.

Happy Birthday @puravidaville!

Sorry, had to take care of that first. Happy 2-year Steemiversary to you, too! Glad you've stuck it out that long, because I can also attest to a whole lot of bumps in the Steem road along that time.

Coincidentally I was just talking with someone else this week about how I often need to remind myself that I am conversing with people all over the world. Humor is just one of the things that gets lost in the translation. I consider myself really lucky that I've found so many kindred spirits across all national borders, but then I know there are times where I have totally misunderstood someone else or been misunderstood myself. It happens, but the cool thing is this is a pretty rad place to learn from others.

At least you know I'll be over here snorting into my oatmeal on occasion as you make me laugh yet again...

Thank you so much, Plants. Even if you didn’t laugh, the virtual lie is such a thoughtful gesture, I can’t hear it from here or anything but I appreciate it. True story.

About all over the world. I’ve been really trippin on that lately, Plants, the weirdest things are happening these days and I’m often overwhelmed like “what in the F?!”

Eh, I’ll get wOrd from back home from a homeboy like “that Eddie Money article was awesome” or “Liverpool looks dope!” And these are friends who don’t have #steemit. Puras mom will leave me a line sometimes, her grandparents sometimes. I’ve even had a buddy say “eh, my mom told me to tell you she really liked the article you wrote yesterday” and these are people who aren’t on #steemit. It’s really starting to trip me out. ‘Am I saying too much? Should I have never started?’

I totally expect you to tell her happy birthday first, I mean, look who’s first on my own personal profile picture and who’s first letter of their first name is first in D and A? Pura.

Always a pleasure to hear from you @plantstoplanks—thanks for keeping me on my toes.

!BEER
for @dandays

Two years and still pounding out posts that are enjoyable to get involved with. Not only are you posting content that I really enjoy, I don't think you have ever missed replying to someone that replied to you.

Going for seven posts over seven days, good luck, and i will be keeping an eye out for them.
We will be headed to Pennsylvania tomorrow, to our daughter's home. Should be a houseful, as all the family will be there to enjoy a big festival that Bloomsburg has every year.
Catch up to you on Monday, when we get home. As far as the funny stuff, keep it coming, I can always look forward to a couple of chuckles when indulging in your posts @dandays. @puravidaville's birthday tomorrow, let her know that we wish her a happy and miss her here on the platform.

This probably would’ve been the worst time to deny a response. 👍🏿

You just be in PA now then. Man, I sure do appreciate you looking for my articles @thebigsweed, I’m trying to stay on top of this overwhelming feeling I get sometimes. How crazy is this?? Sometimes, I’ll get wOrd back from home from a random buddy like “eh, I really like that Eddie Money article” or “Liverpool looks dope!”

I’ll keep em coming but, if you don’t mind, feel free to let me know when you laughed unless, of course, I didn’t mean to be funny and you’re laughing and I’m like “dude, what’s so funny??”

I’ll pass the wOrd to the beautiful birthday girl—thank you! Have a great weekend Sweed, I’m glad we met.

View or trade BEER at steem-engine.

BEER for you. Enjoy it! Hey @dandays, here is a bit

Have you ever got a badge for a daily author?Happy steemitversary the 2nd @dandays 😉 happy to have you here on steemit and weekly author ... monthly author.. cool

Thank you @cicisaja, I always look forward to to hearing from you, it lets me know you appreciate what I had to say this time—thank you!

No, heck no, I’ve posted daily before but still didn’t receive he award. Even went back n forth a few times with @steemitboard but nothing ever was settled. Ok... I guess I’ll just have to do it again then.

Thank you Cici.

I did the same several times to get the daily author badge, but I think we need to do it 4 times a day for a week😂😂 the most easier post is single photos and few line every 4 hours😊.. it's chalenging, what do you think? For people like you or me who had a standart on create a post😆

But still.. I'm thinking about getting the monthly badge too. Need to create a scheduled post from date 1 to date 30/31... and I don't think october is the best time to start😀 february will be easier.

Anyway... did you really missed out the chance to get the tickets to steemfest 4?

You are the sweetest chef I’ve never met. I really enjoy reading your text, knowing you’re not using a translator, and trying to properly code what you said.

I think I’ll never make it to listing 4 times a day. To be more specific, unless I’m going for a daily award, I can hardly manage four three a week.

The sweetest, just making sure I told you.

I think you will have the time to do that 4 times a day for a week when you create a serial of 200 words post or 1, 2, 3, 4 minutes writting challenge😂 you are getting used to type 1000 words for an article.

does number 2 have any special meaning?

Did you really just say that? 🤔
