I'm almost 6 weeks into my Steemit experience, and I've decided I want to reinvest more into the community. Starting yesterday, and again today, I've started using some SBD to buy Steem and power it up, to be able to both better support the Steemit community and be able to better reward other creators across the platform
I plan to continue doing this and believe this is truly a fantastic community with gigantic potential. As some of you know, I have also been promoting Steemit to my YouTube channel audience, which currently numbers more than 400,000 subscribers. Lastly...big announcement tomorrow about a major cryptocurrency player who I'll be interviewing, and plan to publish the interview first on Steemit before it goes to any other platform!

@davidpakman the support provided by your action can be further amplified by actually NOT doing it on the internal market. The internal market attracts no outside attention or money to steemit.
Sending SBD to somewhere like bittrex and then buying Steem there adds dollar volume to Steem being traded, thus raises the activity level and the attention it gets from people outside of steemit.
The internal market does not do this at all for us and could likely be a reason steem price growth has lagged compared to many peers.

I've found the rate to always be better on bittrex. However, you have to flip SBD into BTC then into STEEM so the commissions offset that benefit mostly.
Is it Roger Ver and his chinese miners?
If so than i hope he makes a complete fool out of Roger Ver, because if his plan works with BCash than it will be one of the biggest scams ever :(

Your input on the value of steem relative to the rise of other cryptocurrencies would be appreciated. It has significantly lagged the rest of the market in percentage terms, despite going up in dollar terms. In contrast, steemdollar has risen considerably in both USD and percentage terms. As others have pointed out, the supply and distribution of steem versus steemdollar is something that may need to be addressed if the former is ever going to become a top cryptocurrency in a market valuation sense.
I don't believe I am yet qualified to make an informed commentary on this, but I plan to continue learning more so that I can have an informed opinion in the near future.
Thanks for the response. My most recent blog post touches on this subject. Any input is appreciated, once you are able to have an informed opinion. I recognize the inherent potential of this platform but am struggling to see the execution. It is hard to attract serious writers/artists/etc. that do not have sizeable offline followings in hopes of gaining attention, as their voices are often clouded out by the "whale" accounts. This is ultimately why many resort to using voting bots in hopes of getting their posts to trend and catch the eyes of others. This however necessitates capital expenditure and is not a viable long-term strategy if Steemit is to realize broad market appeal. Just my observations having been off and on the site since the summer.

i'm glad to see you're getting this idea. Planet Steem is a fully functioning DAO, and the more you invest your time and energy into it, the more rewards, both economic and social come your way. It's a new structure that outcompetes centralized corporations.

That's exactly what I've been doing also. As soon as SBD reaches 4 or 5, I buy more steem and when that exceeds a certain amount, I power up. I plan on adjusting the amounts as they grow, but they will follow a similar line; a relatively even distribution of resources.
