Thanks for the response. My most recent blog post touches on this subject. Any input is appreciated, once you are able to have an informed opinion. I recognize the inherent potential of this platform but am struggling to see the execution. It is hard to attract serious writers/artists/etc. that do not have sizeable offline followings in hopes of gaining attention, as their voices are often clouded out by the "whale" accounts. This is ultimately why many resort to using voting bots in hopes of getting their posts to trend and catch the eyes of others. This however necessitates capital expenditure and is not a viable long-term strategy if Steemit is to realize broad market appeal. Just my observations having been off and on the site since the summer.
