In the last two months it has gone from 20p a coin to £2.50 a coin. That is one of the biggest increases that I have observed lately.

Yes, almost as shocking as seeing two comments upvoted by the owner without him upvoting the post. All good though, but you should take a reading on Steemit Etiquette, it may bring you trouble elsewhere
As a noob, it's hard to see through all the jargon and work out what's going on. Your article was clear and easy to understand so thanks for that.
I just tried to buy steem power with the money in my steemit wallet but it wouldn't go through. Are systems overloaded with everyone rushing to buy?
Did you try to convert steem to SP? This is how I go about obtaining SP thru a process called powering up... hope this maybe helped you out a bit
thanks conrad. I think that's what I tried to do.
Wallet > buy steem or steem power > (directed to block trades) > signed up >
This is the pic I got with no option to buy or click. I deffo have the money in the account (I think lol)
Click get deposit address.
I just use the Internal Market, you get a slightly better rate of exchange, and do not need to use wallets. On steemit, your username is your wallet address, so internal market is easiest!
Ok... Internal Market: I used my username on that. Just didn't happen :S
I did that. It just gave me a memo and another thing which copied to my clipboard. Does that mean it's in the process?
