Crypto Trading Advice for 2018: EOS, Ripple and more!

So, as I become more and more passionate about the crypto currency world, I start to get more into the technology and developers behind each coin, as well as more into Crypto Trading.
Now, I realize the title in this article does say trading advice, but I also want to make sure you understand the following:

  • If you lose money, don't come crying around here... Investments can't be done by relying on others. Rely on yourself!

Having said that, I'll share my opinion about some Crypto Currencies I have been researching and have an opinion on - remember that everyone has their own opinion, and if someone knew how the market reacts, they would be rich. I'm not rich, so do with that as you will.

The Things You'll Need for Proper Crypto Trading:

If you're serious about trading in Crypto Currencies and you wish to make sure you have what it takes to succeed, consider that you must have the following:

  • [ ] Time to research
  • [ ] A Hardware Crypto Wallet
  • [ ] The ability to NOT be influenced by Emotions
  • [ ] Spare Money - Don't spend what you can't lose
  • [ ] Gut Feeling (if you plan on profiting from ICOs)

These are some of the most useful things you must ensure you have before jumping to the category below, which is all about what I think on the currencies I've been into.

What to Buy? What to Skip? Here's my Opinion:

So, I'm sure you already have your set opinion on what tokens are going to rule the year of 2018. Or maybe you think this year will just be another Bitcoin year... I sincerely doubt it.
I think 2018 will be an altcoin year, and here are some pointers.

TokenActionOpinion
BitSharesBuy / HoldDecentralized Exchange with Proven Results - Will Rise Substantially
RippleBuy with Fiat / Prepare to SellCentralized - Bankers Approve - Rising, but Falling as I don't see it getting anywhere.
SteemBuy / Earn / HoldSteem is going to rise, and a lot. You should buy it, earn it or hold it.
EOSBuyThis crypto is meant to fix what is wrong with Ethereum and is a brainchild of people from both Steem and BTS. It will rise a lot.
BitcoinSell at highsThe technology is flawed, it is old, it is overpriced, even if it rises, the altcoins can produce better ROI.

So, these are my honest opinions, and you can do with them what you see fit. Either take them or leave them here at my table.
However, if I was going to invest (I'm focusing on getting SP) I would do it in these coins.

To end this post, I just want to make sure you know that crypto is the chance we were all waiting for, and that you have a lot of potential to profit from trading it.
In fact, I'd say that even if I'm wrong, if you buy all the crypto I mentioned, the wins will outweight the losses. That's the benefit of having a stake in an emerging market.
To end, here's a trading quote I find great:

Frankly, I don’t see markets; I see risks, rewards, and money.

I am trying to buy more and more EOS. I could easily see it go to a top 5 spot this year.

I would say 3 figures is almost guaranteed.

That would mean a 10x. It's very likely as it's a lot better than ETH.

Yeap, hence why I say it would be one of my choices.... as far as being better than ETH is concerned, they're fixing Eth at a good rate now, so who knows. But I think it will definitely be worth the 3 figures.

Very Good article, Max!!!
I see that the streemian voter worked for us this time! I set it to up-vote you immediately, did it seem to be right away? I set zero minutes of delay, but I'd think it might take a few seconds to broadcast a new post on the blockchain and then hit streemian, and broadcast my vote.

I just got a new email from my original Crypto-Mentor, Stan B. :D
He told me to keep doing what I am doing, and add at least 3 more cryptos, plus he showed me how good DIGIX-DAO is if you like Physical Gold! It pays out in Physical Gold Grams, so many grams per token per year. It takes quite a bit of capital but really pays well in Grams!
1 gram of Gold is ~ $42 plus fabrication costs. Now, plus it will go UP.

Holy shit man that is golden! Literally! Where do I sign up?

IDK, have not looked yet. It's ETH Based, I think Kraken carries all that stuff.
They used to, and I think it is available Direct.

Kraken sucks though T.T

very helpful information <3 keep going

Ripple grew up on positive news, but speaking about future potential, it is centralization that will give him an advantage, but this is my opinion ... And this does not need to be a fan of decentralization, because most people go exclusively for money, and it does not really matter what function or how this or that asset works, the crowd is only concerned with how much money it brings .. therefore, about the Ripple, it can be a long argument.
Well, in everything else, I rather agree with you ...

I said Ripple is going to go up, I just don't see it sticking there. Banks who are the most interested in using it must keep the values low or else it wouldn't be worth it. But there's a lot of room to climb as they can use it on 30-40 $ just not more. That's my opinion. So yeah you can make money with it, but if you believe in decentralization, buy it with FIAT not with finite Coins.

I mean that people do not have a difference on how to earn ... If such as I see the sense in decentralization, then most people just want to earn ..
Personally, I hold a few coins, because I learned from my experience that first of all it is necessary to diversify .. I did not intend to argue with you, but only expressed my opinion :)

Im not arguing, in fact I agree with you Franklin! That's why ripple will go up.

But we understand that this is a temporary asset, it will soon reach its peak, so it's worth to carefully cipher with crypto ... Easier to be a trader, but this requires a lot of time to pay for viewing quotes.
Well, if you are an investor, then there are several reliable sources with a fixed way of earning, but this is not such a fast money ...

Max has a theory about Bank$ter$ pulling a 'bait & switch' with Ripple and the fixed release (finite) cryptos. He says that they will hoard BTC, ETH, and so forth, and get the public to buy mostly Ripple. Then issue more and more until they hold good coin and the public holds shit-coins, like Ripple, Tezos and whatever else they bait us with. DOGE-Coin is also an infinite release coin, according to wiki. I need to do a follow-up article on that one, now that I have that crucial info!

I am sticking with Ripple. I think it will grow and grow and grow. I can see it becoming a serious contender.

In the last two months it has gone from 20p a coin to £2.50 a coin. That is one of the biggest increases that I have observed lately.

Yes, almost as shocking as seeing two comments upvoted by the owner without him upvoting the post. All good though, but you should take a reading on Steemit Etiquette, it may bring you trouble elsewhere

As a noob, it's hard to see through all the jargon and work out what's going on. Your article was clear and easy to understand so thanks for that.

I just tried to buy steem power with the money in my steemit wallet but it wouldn't go through. Are systems overloaded with everyone rushing to buy?

Did you try to convert steem to SP? This is how I go about obtaining SP thru a process called powering up... hope this maybe helped you out a bit

thanks conrad. I think that's what I tried to do.
Wallet > buy steem or steem power > (directed to block trades) > signed up >
This is the pic I got with no option to buy or click. I deffo have the money in the account (I think lol)

Great approach to cryptos, thanks for sharing your opinion

Do you think it's a bad idea to accumulate bitcoin and trade with it instead of fiat or other cryptos? since it's the one all other currencies pair with and the one people dream about its $500,000 mark

I think FIAT has one thing that bitcoin doesn't have - stability. Bitcoin has low stability so I think hoarding it to trade may be a bad idea. You want to keep your funds stored in a low volatility fund, that's why people usually store in gold or even real estate.
Storing funds in a mean with high volatility means that if you need liquidity in a time when the asset (bitcoin) is low, you'll have a bad time.

I honestly couldn't agree more with your opinions which you mentioned, except for the fact that I think Ripple may have quite a bright future in store for some time to come... awesome stuff @spiritualmax per usual, keep up the solid work man

Thanks Conrad, I don't doubt Ripple will rise... but it being centralized and infinite - which means it can be printed as per their owners leisure - makes it a bit hard for me to believe that it will have a brilliant future.
Cheers! Thanks for the comment.

it's an interesting opinion. I would like to suggest the Siacoin, Tron and Stellar. Tomorrow I will write about my investments and explain a little bit why I chouse them. :)

Tron already had its big leap, now you can only catch the second wave. As far as Siacoin, it is a good coin with space to grow, but we've seen that it could grow in the past and didn't. Only time will tell. Stellar is a good choice.

Stellar is one of Stan's Choices, it is running 61¢ today, and I have funds available to buy, but Poloniex was having technical difficulties with it and surmised that the Stellar Dev Team may have to formulate a fix. Who knows when it will be available? I do not have anther exchange where I can buy it. :-(

What about coinbase? Doesn't support it?

no, cb is junk...
I can still buy internally @polo, and I grabbed 704 Stellar ;)

Good for you mate, fingers crossed for it to multiply and allow you to upgrade your Rifle!

LOL, ur so SILLY!
Next time you're over to the house, I'll show ya the "upgrades" :P That was my first AR-15, and like Steem Coins, them there things multiply!!!
I got several ;)

Great! Thanks! :)

Well, in this case, the best thing to do is wait to see what's happen xb
