True, I just think any kind of affiliate system is very carefully reviewed and considered. Also, an affiliate program can project a scammy appearance and could scare off new people who may already be confused about how money is "made out of thin air" on Steemit. I probably wouldn't have signed up if there was mention of affiliate because I've been burned so many times by "products" presented to me that only serve to enrich the referrer aka clickbank type junk. IMO steemit sells itself and doesn't need MLM style tactics to grow. Basically I'm allergic to the word "affiliate" and also "downline" "backoffice" "matrix" etc... I can just imagine some shady internet marketer coming up with a "product", something like "Learn how I made $XXXxx in five hours by using this new emerging tech!" And then charge $47.95 for a five page ebook, steemit account and a bunch of "training videos" where they spend 75% of the time going off topic and pushing more of their products...
