No, I'm not saying that using bots is a sin, maybe you misunderstood me.
There is nothing wrong with using bots, just like in the owning of multiple accounts, when they are used to support unique, original and quality content (maybe even their own). But if they are used to promote spam posts or plagiarism, will you agree that this is wrong? Just like supporting own comments by some of the whales, because users' concentration only on itself destroys the communicative component of Steemit as a social network.
This all hurts Steemit in a long-term perspective. This sets a bad example, undermines the faith of other users in the fair distribution of awards. It works like a snowball: if a few months ago you sometimes came across a shit (spam, plagiarism, etc.) in our NEW, then today it's hard to find a quality post under a bunch of this.
