The BM is so mighty that I think the only thing can kill his own porduct, Steem, is another product developed by himself.
If he is really going to build a new blockchain to be Steem competitor, they might fight each other to death or, they might end up evolved to two different product and co-exist well together. We shall see.

considering there's 7 billion people on this planet, it'd be safe to say there's enough room for both and more to each serve their own positions...
