That sounds good pete!

By the way - have you thought about interacting more via comments? As those are the things which are most important on d.tube / Steemit.

Totally, but for some reason I can leave one comment and then have to wait to comment again...

That's frustraiting, but then again, you get paid for each comment.

There is a 20 second delay per comment :)

i didn't know that :)

I think what you are doing is the right move. You should wait until the unboarding process on steem becomes instant.

What I mean is that right now, if you tell your Youtube audience about steemit, many will want to sign up. They will do it and then they will have to wait 7 days or more to get confirmed. They will all forget everything about steem in those 7 days and won't ever comeback.

So let's wait until the steemit team releases an update and improves the signup process(which is due soon) and then you can start thinking about getting your audience over.

@furiouspete123 I believe you shouldn't tell YouTube about Dtube or Steemit especially someone of your stature in the YouTube realm could draw alot of attention. I don't know if you are aware of all the people that just use youtube basically as a begging plattform. I as a YouTuber have decided not to bring my audience over to steemit because of these reasons. I believe I should get established first and if people get curious about this plattform they can find me easily. A few of my fellow YouTubers are here they've been taking the same approach. They seem to be happy. Of course our channels on YouTube are small by comparison to your channel. Just my thoughts. Thanks for the post very good subject.

Deleted. Thanks miqdad

You can literally hear him talk about steemit in the whole video -.-

Hey @therealwolf! I’m a huge fan with your creations :) have you been programming for a long time now?

I actually did a video on the importance of replying and interacting - that’s a great point.

Also, just wondering how long it takes to get whitelisted? Mine is still pending for about a week now give or take. Just curious :)

Great job on all your activities to help the platform grow, brotha! Keep it up!!

I totally understand why you are hesitating, but the great thing about this platform is that hatred comments and spam are not welcomed here.

So if people will try to comment negative stuff - they will be flagged and their comment will be hidden. Their reputation will be really low and they wont earn anything from they stay.

Share Steemit with your audience when ever you are ready - but I felt like telling you that we, the community, wont allow hatred comments.

And btw, I have a question for you.
How did you find out about Steemit?

*upvoted for visibility

That's exactly what I was going to say. Youtube can flag, but flagging can be controversial in that it being used for obscene and violent comments only, whereas here you can just downvote because you don't like it, and if other do the same...poof comment gone

Thanks for asking @furiouspete123 ! I think inviting youtube followers here asap is preferable. I completely understand not wanting to taint the comment section etc but remember Steemians are actually incentivized to be on their best behavior here so I think the trolling will never be as bad as youtube. When new Steemians realize the can have a profitable comment they will be less inclined to leave negative fluff when they could be using that time to craft creative and thoughtful content even within a comment. With such a green platform I think its prudent to not hold back any and all support as we never know how this will turn out. I believe strongly in the future of Steemit but I dont think this is the time to go half in or wait. Let’s go full steem ahead and make this the most robust platform possible creating a network effort that echoes through the internet. We can worry about a few negative posters later. But first we grow. Thank you such much for contributing here I watch your videos and I was unaware of you before you started posting on Dtube. Steem on!!!

youtube is dead

Youtube is not dead and will never be dead, trust me that Dtube won't be the one to replace Youtube. I wish it did, but it just can't.

I think my only concern about promoting this site from a stage such as yours is that, what if people invest money and the market dips? Are they going to blame you? However, I won't go without saying the platform here is amazing, but at the same time it is in beta.

Off Topic:
Your video back in the day of deadlifting 615 pounds while you have Hungry by Rob Bailey playing in the background had a huge impact on my fitness journey. First off, you showed me amazing music to work out to, so I appreciate that. "I KILL CUZ IM HUNGRY!!!" You also showed me that anything was possible man. You inspired me to lose 100 pounds and 1 year after that I deadlifted 615 pounds too. So, thank you for producing the content that you do.

Youtube will continue to push people away from their platform as their feminist CEO has shown that she will prioritize political correctness over freedom of speech, which is a shame. This platform will grow simply because of the growing demand for spaces where you won't have to worry about losing your means of income for simply saying "the wrong thing". D-Tube has a really clean layout too.. Similar to youtube.

Exactly. PC is on the rise in Silicon Valley and the audience numbers will dip. I left almost entirely even as a viewer. It has lost its spark.

Hummmm I can see why You say that and I understand. But as You said it would be cool and good to have your fans and the people that live what You do in here with You. That way not only they can support You and keep following the content You create in here... but at the same time just by curating Your content they can earn their own rewards... Obviously and since You are popular all over the place some haters will actually put themselves to the trouble to register and create a steemit account to come and keep annoying you.

What I think bigger influencers like You should do when inviting their following to join in is to ask to your true fans to keep the comments section clean and organised.... just by curating.... by flagging negative posts that might get on the top (that way they will be hide) and upvoting positive comments that they want to see. Kind of asking all Your fans to be Your moderators in the channel ehehhe :D

I think negative or useless comments will regulate itself by the community.
We have the power to downvote these comments and make them disappear.

This way people delivering valuable content will get the strength to decide what content is appropriate and what content is not.

Trolls will most likely not gain the power to get there.

Tell them about Steemit and DTUBE, NOW !! :-)))Now_Later_dreamstime_xs_22592603.jpg

I think it is the right decision to wait with it and see how dtube is developing itself. I think it will be the right decision shortly before youtube is going to blow shit up completly or the importance of crypto currencies reached a level of importance, that people want to use it by their own.

The difference between youtube and dtube is that dtube is decentralized, and everyone who has a stake in steem has a voice on dtube. If people come here with tons of negativity and grabage people have the ability to flag that, downvote them, and let them know we don't like that type of stuff. Or we can not do that and let them know they are welcome to use their voice here as well. It's an open platform. But I'll just let you know, I found Steemit from a youtuber, it was my introduction to all things cryptocurrency and I am SUPER glad that it happened. I would say go for it when you feel the time is right :)

I agree with you. The community is what makes this place so great. I'm loving it. I hope the positivity stays for good.

I think you need to understand the whole ethos and workings of Steemit in great detail before you tell you tube audience about Steemit / D tube. It won't be easy, as you will still get the trolls and negativity as they are present in every group of people on social platforms. I wish you luck!

Hehe, dogs, the true rulers of this planet, who else has poop scooping stuff :)

I think a lot of people would be thankful for steemit, but there are a lot of disadvantage too. I hope you find the right decision.

Im a part of your Youtubecommunity, and i love seeing you here :)

Good Luck!

I would wait at least a month or two until you know your way around here and then you upload one or two videos just for dtube and announce it on youtube. And through this, the audience will trickle to dtube/steemit in a natural way.

dTube Is future ✌

You should let them know soon man. Even though you are still fairly new to these platforms theres no harm in exposing them to the greatness of steemit and dtube. You can lead a horse to water, but you cant make it drink. But I think your post rewards and our community is good enough evidence for the average person to realize the potential to join.

I understand that you want to escape the cancer that is youtube comments and stay comfy for a while, However I do think this platform encourages thoughtful comments and that your audience that has a will to come check it out may embrace it quite well in time.

Dtube is super amazing and really a great app to use in posting ur talents and personal videos online..
@furiouspete I envy ur hard work.. I checked through ur profile and discovered when u joined steemit.. More funds bro

It’s so true that YT is ultra negative. In the hay day though, it was different. But once the corporate-take-over-all-things-mentality set, it just morphed into something super nego.

Happy to see you hear and making exclusive post about dtube nonetheless my brotha!

I agree. Also, I think Dtube needs more content creator so when people start advertising in other platforms they will have more to chew on.

I get your point, but I think that on Steem, you are really not incentivized to be a hater: downvotes for example are public, you can also downvote or flag comments and accounts that repeatedly spread negativity for no reason.

Congratulations @furiouspete123, this post is the seventh most rewarded post (based on pending payouts) in the last 12 hours written by a Superuser account holder (accounts that hold between 1 and 10 Mega Vests). great post ..i am agree with you...thanks for sharing this important post..great imformation....20859712_909827382504398_2982962217088974848_n.gif

I think you should try pushing it more towards your creator/influencer friends rather than your main audience so it can grow more organically from the content rather than someone artificially promoting the platform to mostly just their benefit.

If you have a large enough audience at least some people will eventually notice and pick up on the platform, it's the content that matters. I started off as a YouTube fan of yours, but now it's more; I had discovered the content rather than being force-fed it, though.

I was wondering when you were gonna mention this site to the rest of your followers on IG/YT. .

I think any people with a huge following should eventually bring that following here. However, the best way is probably just to say your content is now on DTube and let them figure out the cryptocurrency part of the equation on their own. It's probably also a good idea to wait until the signup process is not as cumbersome before directing people here to a potentially frustrating account creation process that may drive them away from you altogether.

Yes, bring them all on... trolls will be destroyed here :)

I feel you on both sides because I hesitated as well but after talking with a few of the higher ranked members I realized that regardless, the negative people are coming....soon! So in a year from now there will be plenty of negative here regardless but building the user base now will bring more value to the site! I'd say sneak it in here or there, wear a beanie with the steemit logo on it or just passively say it in a snapchat to Mel or someone to start peaking interest!

i appreciate your honesty about you thoughts on both youtube and dtube and also how you want the best outcome for both. IMO, i agree with what you are saying meaning that Dtube like u said is a long term investment and it is perfectly fine to wait for the right moment to advertise your dtube to the youtube audience. Anyways great video furiouspete.

No clue. I say feel it out for a while.

This guy has a lot of moles.

thanks for this I just joined dtube and steemit. I would leave youtube out for now. I believe new platforms are here for a reason because the old way is not working. youtube has a non free speech AI system. we need free speech.

Let's build it up from the scratch ... then when you don't care anymore, announce it
