I really like your perspective on this. What I personally do, is take the 50/50 default payout, and refuse to touch my steem power, allowing for half the payout to stay in the platform. I do believe in the future of Steem enough to leave it there. It would be senseless and foolish to draw it out anyway when you understand what steem power actually is, and how it affects not only the functionality of your account, but also the potential ability for you to earn much more. That being said, I feel comfortable drawing my 50 percent SDB and diversifying my hodl. This also gives me the comfort of knowing that I have control and possession of half of my earnings here. If my logic seems flawed to anyone, I am very open to opinion and suggestion. I'm still learning as I go. I do believe the fundamentals are crucial to success with Steemit.
