Groups like steemSTEM and SteemRomania (both of which I contribute my time to) employ plagiarism filters to prevent it. I guess publishing on another platform first will still trigger the filters. Now rules must be made and we should really think if we want to limit it and how. It's a big discussion, something to ponder for a week or two and then take a side. Not to be taken lightly.
But can you plagiarize your own content? I mean if you post your own content on two different platform does it count as plagiarism?
Sure you can plagiarize yourself. I think that by original content we are also implying content that is posted only here. When you post it the second time, the local "cheetah" would have something to say, be it here or there. If I start replying the same comment to all my commenters, someone will flag me eventually :D
