RE: Amanda of DASH versus Mitchell Loureiro (VP Marketing of Steemit); Who Kills Marketing Better? #1

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

Amanda has a proven track record in the cryptocurrency space and is associated with success. Who is Mitchell Loureiro? The fact that most of us never heard of the guy before should give you an indication of his marketing abilities. If he can't even market himself why would you believe he can market Steemit?

Until proven otherwise, I expect Mitchell Loureiro to be another Brian Page. You don't know who Brian Page is? In a few years people wont know who Mitchell Loureiro is but I'm sure he will pocket all the Steem Dollars. In my opinion, anyone hired for marketing should be paid for results and nothing more. The referral program was built into Steemit and there is no reason for an antiquated, centralized, top down "Vice President" of marketing. It's a ridiculous sounding position for a decentralized project don't you think?

Demand activation of the built in referral program. Question why they are willing to hire a Vice President of marketing who most of us have never heard of. Ask how much Mitchell Loureiro is being paid and demand results. Honestly, I would choose Craig Grant to lead marketing before I would pick Mitchell Loureiro who seems to have no history with Steemit and hasn't led any marketing effort I'm aware of.

See my article from 3 days ago https://steemit.com/steemit/@godcomplex/will-mitchell-loureiro-be-another-brian-page and also see what @dantheman said https://steemit.com/steemhelp/@lafona/does-steem-have-a-referral-program#@dantheman/re-lafona-does-steem-have-a-referral-program-20160429t165352921z
And see the referral program built into Steemit which they refuse to activate in favor of hiring this top guy. Bitshares has a referral program activated so you can see how it works but Steemit wants centralization most likely unless they can explain their decision.

Well said. He will need to prove himself. I did this post mostly to incite this type of conversation. I truly don't know much about crypto or even marketing thus, i respect your comment here as you have pinpointed great things. I didn't know Mitchell before the video, neither have i heard of him. i spoke mere based on those 2 videos that i watched, of them both. In reality, those aren't sufficient indications of one's marketing prowess and success like you mentioned is one. So perhaps, time will tell, of Mitchell's abilities. i hope he gets on the discussion! Thank you for engaging here! Some people appear to know Mitchell though

i am checking those links. the edit just came in!
