So, it's been almost one year I'm on Steemit and it is more and more obvious that my mental age is at the same level as my Steemit account...
I had accumulated 300 Steems these past weeks and decided to transfer it to Bittrex in order to cash in, suspecting an imminent surge... So I went to "Transfer", tapped the Bittrex name as receiver, added the whole amount, and entered in commentary the wallet address of my Steem wallet in Bittrex... Except it was not!
Instead, I entered the wallet address of my Steem Dollars wallet!!! Which is not the same thing. To be honest with myself, I didn't type it myself, but the alphanumeric sequence showed up thanks (?) to the memory cache of the navigator.
And so, I sent my hard-earned Steem to a completely different wallet and it has not yet appeared anywhere!
Is it lost, is it in limbo, will I be refunded, will Bittrex just laugh in my face? Mystery!
Just remember, people, to not do that uncle herverisson, and take your time when transferring money and double-checking every little information before to push SEND!

Well, I was connected to Bittrex at the same time. You can usually see if there is a pending deposit almost immediately. But that didn't show up, so after 5 minutes, I suspected something fishy... Checking the wallet addresses and saw my mistake...
today I was pending for about 30 minutes...
mmmm... with bittrex? I contacted the support service... No answer yet, but I guess there is still hope: i mean, the Steems are on Bittrex's steemit account so they could just send it back. I presume.
The same thing happend to me some time ago.
They answered that they'll need two weeks to sort it out, but actually it took only one week.
You'll need to tell them your "transaction ID". For that you go to steemd.com/@herverisson , find your transaction and click on it. There's going to be a long sequence of numbers and letters, that's it.

Yes. I've send for mistake some steem to the SBD wallet, but as far as I know, you can reclaim it going to the support page, https://bittrex.zendesk.com/
I didn't do it because in that day because I had a lot of things to do, but I recommend you to go to the page and made them a comment.
I opened a support ticket! But no news yet...
