RE: [SteemIt Poll] Does Anybody Browse The Promoted Tab? Would It Hurt To Have Advertising On The Front Page?

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)
  1. Rarely so essentially No. I spent 10 Steem on it once but don't think it brought any results. I read an article that promoted one persons good results tho that influenced my decision tomtry it, it just didn't work for me.
  2. I wouldn't mind but I think Steemit can do much better off without them. It opens the door to corporate interests and censorship eventually. I think people should quit complaining about the low price of Steem right now, buy a shit-ton while it's a heckuva deal, and keep promoting the great ad-free network being created here until millions and millions and millions of people have joined it; then we watch the price go through the roof together. It might take a year or three is all to see those results, quit thinking short term everybody. Let people find out about Steemit first, then some will buy Steem themselves as they find out about digital currency in general - like I did!
We have something unique; if we keep it that way it will catch on and thrive, but if we sell out now we'll lose lots of what makes this new concept great.
