It would seem that the fairly recent and continued downward pressure on Bitcoin and others top cryptocurrencies has caused US regulatory bodies to take notice. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), for example, has launched and investigation into four major exchanges for possible market manipulation. This of course has much to do with futures trading. The question is, if futures become heavily regulated, restricted, or eliminated, will the markets perform in a more realistic fashion?
Thanks for the post.
