The only concern I have is that if you express an opinion that doesn't sit well with a whale overlord you can hurt your rep very bad. As far as I know, once your rep gets so low, you can't up vote anymore.

Ive seen it with @earnest someone who is a bit polarizing. Many people vilify him and some people appreciate aspects of what he does. With the new feedback system, his posts are virtually invisible. While I believe everyone should have a voice, I agree that people who continuously devalue the experience should have repercussions. While I don't wish to have everyone pretend they agree with everything, I'd much rather people pretend to agree than to become rude or hateful. And those on the edge may think twice about posting something to belittle someone. Trolling on steemit will have users having very little visibility. I think this is a great step forward.
