WARNING: An crypto currency expert says 'STEEM CANT LAST'.

in #steemit8 years ago

If you are completely depended on STEEMIT or you are planing to make a living from STEEMIT than I would suggest you to think again.

Ryan X. Charles is a cryptocurrency engineer who has also worked with Reddit and now owns his own social network named Yours has said 'STEEM CANT LAST'.

Ryan is using Bitcoins for his own network and said the following

By leveraging bitcoin, we can take advantage of the largest blockchain technical ecosystem including open source software, documentation, standards, and APIs, as well as the largest blockchain social ecosystem including companies and experts.

Note: I don't have anything against steemit it's just i was searching some info about the platform before posting my first post.

Sort:

He is Steemits competition, of course he will say that lol.

Exactly. He is building a similar project based on Bitcoin. With the growing popularity of steem/steemit his project becomes obsolete. People tend to get "slightly less honest" in such situations.

All of sudden rise of steemit might have given him nightmares

Yes that's the case exactly

I hope he is not correct.

Came here to say this.

He does not inform he shills. Like the anti brexit lot.
The Trivium, ( the parts, their non contraditory relationships, and the resultant use.)
are absent. No value here. BTC has 150 obits! Steemit is the missing link to our future.
Individuality & Responsibility.
ATB. Talyvale. :)

Sounds like someone who sees the writing on the wall. They are too late and losing mind share.

Yes I had not heard about his network earlier either. Maybe he is using steemit popularity to promote his own network

I've never heard of Ryan X. Charles or "Yours".
Sounds like he's a bit salty.

Same here just brought some doubts in my mind though

If the sole reason you are on steemit is to make money, you're here for the wrong reason. That is my opinion anyway.

Over the time span of ~5 years I have made exactly $0.00 from posting and commenting on reddit, and yet I STILL go there. Why? Because of the content.

On steemit you can potentially make a few extra bucks, SOLELY by posting insightful or interesting content - that's sweet right? An extra beer with the boys or a trip to the cinema for your kid.

In many cases the best posts on steemit (or reddit for that matter) are likely to emanate from their author's passions and interests.
And isn't that what this is all about? Sharing content you're passionate about with the world.

Yes we all have to respect something is better than nothing as comparing steemit to Reddit

The thing about this system is people actually have to pay to upvote or register something as good content. For the moment Steemit can way out pay any other platform making money off advertising and this is all due to having their own block chain. Also I think Steem locks in users for a longer time by having the steem power. This will help keep people coming back by not allowing them to bail out at no notice.

Both are options it's good steemit gives users the power, they also pay interests not to forget

Steem is not about make money. As with everything, only a few people can make a good money from it in the long run.

Such is the hype everyone wants to try their hand and they want to be in that few

weird... i posted a rebuttal to the statement and mahekg flagged it.. looks like he has an agenda.

Why not find something which is not here to write on about rather than rebuttal someone else content?

so you copied and pasted a news article and now you think youre the only one with the right to their opinion.

Oh and btw you registered here probably a few minutes ago from your sp balance just to post a negative article about steem, thats an agenda.

Kindly read the article first i have given the credit to source by linking them.

Yes this is my first day and post on this network so I was just worried if it has the future or not.

I have removed the flag from your post anyways and thanks for returning the favour.

Looks like u still haven't unflagged my post
