Understand Pt 3.png

In this Part, we want to focus on one particular topic. For many many users is this one of the most important questions, not only in this community but in all others also. If you miss the previous Post I highly recommend starting with them.

Understand the Steemit Game! Part 2

If you go to your profile you see three numbers in one row. Today we want to focus on the number which stands on the left. Yes, your followers.

I think most of the users are interested in after of the output your Post could generate in the number of followers. It is one of the most searched topics. How to get quick much followers?

With this number, user connect value. Some measure his or her importance comparing to other. A high number gives a pleasant feeling for most of the user on any social network. One Proof is that there are many Posts in our community celebrating for reaching a new Follower Milestone. Nothing wrong with that, but I am asking myself; are those followers, followers or fans?

Maybe you are a bit confused now, right? I will explain it, but first of all, let me ask you a question.

Have in Common.png

Musk, Ronaldo, Martin.png

Yes, they are all celebrities but this is not the point here.
Elon Musk, Christiano Ronaldo, and George R.R Martin don't have followers; they have FANS.

Difference between followers and Fans.png

Followers are complex. They can follow you without actually following you. Yes, they can be dead. They lift up your number of Followers but nothing more.

Fans on the other side are people who care about you and what you are doing. Maybe the word "fans" might be confusing to you. Maybe friends is a better word for you. In my explanation, I will stay with the word fans.

Imagine how those people are. Let's take the three celebrities as an example. Like I already said they don't have followers; they have fans.

They are sitting on hot coals waiting for the next update. With joy, they consume their Tweets, Blog Posts, Instagram Pictures or live videos. This kind of followers or fans you need to get.

It could sound a bit confusing, but I give my best to make it understandable for you.

If I am talking about fans, I don't mean sick possess people. I mean a default mindset of those people. That is; They are waiting for you!

Yes, these kinds of followers are waiting for you that you feed them again and again. They know they get something from you what will affect their lives. It's good for them, they need it, and that's why they are eagerly waiting for you. They will interact with you; they will share your thoughts or better to say resteem it. They try to implement what you are telling, and they see results in their lives. They are really appreciating who you are and what you are doing.

Mass Following.png

In my opinion, this strategy will only give you a short term success regarding numbers. Yes, the only good thing is that you see your number of followers increase. It could be that few people are really interested in you, but this is more the exception. Most likely all your followers in this way are not actually interested in you. It's all about numbers. For a long term success, you need fans.

Lets Talk Steemfollower.png

A really popular tool especially for newbies. I used it myself a while. But I remark for myself that these are not the followers that I want. Again it's all about numbers. When I post a Picture on Instagram after few seconds, the likes are flying in regularly. It's not because I am a better person than you, no it's because these people are real fans. I have to add they are Football Fans!

But I think if you want to succeed here on this platform you need Fans, not followers. Think about it; they will upvote with joy for you. If you reward them also, they will grow, and so you create a circulation. But this way takes time. To increase the pure number is easy with tools like steemfollower. Let me say to you nothing is wrong with that tool. It's working great, but you have to decide if the results it gives you is that what you actually want?

Better you have ten real fans they interact with you than 100 followers where only five are active with you. Which one would you prefer?

Thanks bother

You're welcome :)

Your "fanbase" belongs to your followers, but I think that you are onto something here. What excites those followers? Why did they follow? You're definitely correct, but the concept has more depth. I don't know the answers to those questions I just asked. Don't take them as rhetorical either. Answer Me!

You are totally right my friend. There is so much to say about it.
I was only scratching the surface to make the post not too long. One important thing is to get to know your followers. It's like if you are selling a product why are your customers buying your product? It's because of the design, the taste, the price or just because of the brand? If you get to know the needs of your followers the better you can deliver them. But for that you need to interact with them, getting them in a dialogue with you and this process takes a lot of time and effort.

Please keep these post coming.
Question...What does upvoting or resteeming cost you.
Does it use steem power or dollars. please explain

Well, upvoting and resteeming doesn't cost you any steem power or SBD. Upvotes use your voting power, which gets down with each of your upvote and is filled again automatically by around 20% every 24 hours. You can check out your voting power on steemd.com. Also check out steemstats.com and steemdollar.com.

Resteeming doesn't cost you nothing. It's just way of sharing a post you liked with your followers. People usually resteem a post which they have upvoted, so that it gets upvoted more after them which in turn earns them more curation rewards. Hope it helps.

Great Thank you for the info.

Thank you @tigerfish.
Resteeming costs me nothing.
Right now my vote on 100% is worth 0.23 $

How does one increase the value of your vote?

The more steempower you have the more weight your Vote will have. If you want more practical influence then you need steempower.

You can also chose that your rewards of your posts goes 100% to your steempower.

Thank you again for your help, now I need to know how I do that and if its reversible.

Great read and guide :)

Thanks my friend.

Now You have received plus one fan. It is me.

This is a real honor for me.
Thank you very much, my friend.
