I have been at rep 49 for longer than any other rep point. Am I missing something I need to do to actually hit 50. I would love to hit 50 rep by the end of july. Please help and thank you.
It is rough for sure. The higher you go the harder it is to reach the next level. Bigger upvotes help get your rep up rather quickly. That is why you see a lot of people that buy votes with exceptionally high rep even though their content might not be the greatest. My best advice is to save up some SBD or STEEM and spend some time writing a really good post 500+ words with a lot of great pictures. If you can get noticed by @curie or one of the other curation groups you might get enough votes to give your rep that boost you need. If they don't notice you, you can always used the saved up Steem or SBD to buy the votes you need.
Yes, you can buy votes. Some people frown upon it because people abuse the system by buying huge upvotes for relatively crappy content. That is the main reason most of the stuff in the "Trending" section is kind of junk if you haven't noticed already. I try to focus on just writing a handful of really high quality posts each week as opposed to several short posts per day. If you can get recognized and whitelisted, @ocd is a good group for buying votes that doesn't make a profit off of you like most of the other bots do. Also you should check out @oracle-d. They have some open tasks occasionally that if you participate one upvote from them will probably put you over 50.
The more upvotes you get the higher your rep goes. The higher the stakeholders upvote the better the increase in reputation. Your rep is now 49.493. So you still need about half a point to hit 50. You'll get there eventually, don't think it will take very long to run up that final bit
Some how I have made it to 50!!! I comment and upvote more than I post, trying to do that more as well! Plus power up everything I make, I know you were powering up in the past. So I would just keep using it everyday!!

Thank you so much this helps me a lot. I didn't realize that you could buy votes or that it was a regular thing. Thanks for tagging the group.
