if you want to build quickly :-
- post 3 times a day ( topics that people want to read)
- if you must upvote, maximium of 10 times a day
- get involved in the comments ( like you are now)
i've been here 11 days and my reputation is at 40. god knows what it will be like in 6 months.
Out of interest how come your reputation hasn't grown vastly in the last 7months? Have you become less active on Steem or does Steem just award less reputation points to ratio the longer you have been here?

just keep, talking to people on the comments that have the same interests as you. you will get a group of people that follow you that are interested in what you have to say.
I read somewhere that the ideal amount of times to upvote a day was 20. I've only been here a day though and am totally lost. lol
