Thanks for re-steeming. I read the original post and it's spot on. One thing you could do for past posts is write a new one with updated information, and link back to the original. You can also do something like a "top 10 posts from last month" and link back, or organize your posts into themes every now and again and link back. As with all original works ownership belongs to the author. Use or reproducation of original works fall under copyright guidelines:
- The nature of the original work - is it a book, a poem, art, or a music score? Each are weighted differently.
- The amount of the original work (usually only a percentage of the work can be reproduced)
- The effect on market - now this is VERY interesting in Steemit context because others are benefiting financially by re-posting original content and are getting compensated. Not necessarily the same as doing a review or opinion piece.
- Purpose or use: personal, educational, etc.
Here is a Steemit article posted about a year ago from @drherz https://steemit.com/terms/@drherz/who-owns-the-content
And here is a site from Stanford University about copyright:

Now maybe I should write a post about this! ha!
I think the idea of showing some of the oldest posts is good, so much value goes to waste as older posts gets ignored, however for now since we don't have much content I think we should focus more on content creation. With time I think it will be worth linking to the older posts
