I bought a new house last year right before winter. When Spring came around I realized my crawl space would get water in it after heavy rains. My crawl space is a dirt floor crawlspace about 4 feet tall.
I called out a company to take a look at solutions for drying out my basement. They suggested a french drain, with a sump pump, and lining the basement with plastic. I was tempted, but at $4500 I wasn't ready to pull the trigger.
Fast forward about six months, I decided to move forward with the fix. I wasn't 100% sure of the company name so began Googling and eventually found it. Something struck me as odd though, when I looked at the picture on their Google Places profile I expected to see a handyman, a basement, something along those lines. Instead I saw a marijuana bud dressed like a rooster, like what the fuck???
I called and scheduled my appointment and before I hungup said, completely off topic, but just wanted to let you know your Google Places image is a marijuana bud dressed like a rooster. She laughed and somewhat embaressingly told me she'd have to get on the phone with her web designer.
For real? As they can not be aware of the image of your company. A lot of people get carried away by that or by a good design, in my opinion is a mockery.
I'm guessing it was an accident or a prank or a hack. When I told the sales woman on the phone she was a little embaressed, she laughed and then said they would have to call their web designer so they must not manage their own website or their Google Places page. It was pretty funny though.
Users can cause grace or discomfort (more thanks than annoyance), but what they reflect in being a little serious business and that will cause users not to request their services, everything indicates that they will lose by a joke.
lol wtf I wonder how that ended up on there
BAHAHAHAHA! That is awesome!
I could see that photo being a great mascot for KSC - Kentucky Stoned Chicken.
As far as the Crack Attack Team photo, I think something like this would be more appropriate...

And btw, getting a sump pump is a VERY good investment.
Yeah I considered trying to do it myself, it doesn't look that complicated digging a french drain and putting in a sump pump, I saw some great Youtube videos that make it look fairly simple but its a dirty job, I have a dirt floor crawl space, there's bugs down there and I'm a big girl about bugs, I also don't have a ton of free tiem so figured I'd just bite the bullet and call a company to do it for me
incredible, it seems unprofessional, the advertising images should be more attractive and according to what is sold is my opinion, @rulesforrebels.
Yeah I'm sure it was a mistake. When I pointed it out to them they said they wouldhave their web designer get on it.
Company is complex. They always make hard the easy task.
