AND I AM A MINNOW!
So I am here to show that you can make Steemit work for you. Its hard but you can.
First of all the £5,000
I have estimated this cost on this basis:
I have withdrew around £1,000. (Exchanged from steem dollars) and I have around 4,000 steem in hold. (I have 2 accounts- one is my author blog @aubreyfox) Steem is low at the moment so I am estimating this on what I have earned before.
So almost £5,000
This has gone towards publishing costs, editing software, websites, domain names, insurance, my book launch and I am also taking some to pay for the two weeks I have had off work to finish and create my books, and also for book marketing and promotion.
So here is the results :
www.aubreyfox.com
www.aubreyfoxbooks.com
www.aubreyfox.co.uk (This leads directly to here)
You can also find @aubreyfox on amazon, goodreads, twitter (aubreyfoxwriter), linkedIn (under @sarahewaring) facebook and Instagram (under aubreyfoxwriter)
I have physically produced:
3 short stories
1 novel (out on the 27th October)
This is the first 'proof' copy of my book. I nearly shed a tear when it dropped through the letterbox. I have popped it on my shelf through shameless self promotion.
Here is my little beauty spread out on my lap top.
It even has an acknowledgement to steemit in there!
(I will be back to blogging daily after my book launch on the 27th as I am currently campaigning my book launch-you can see my author self publishing journey @aubreyfox)
A massive thankyou to steemit. To @ned and your team thank you for making my dreams a reality.
That's fantastic! Congratulations :)
Thank you Tina :-)
awesome! I would love to read about the steps you took to get there!
Thankyou! If you go to @aubreyfox I have beem doing a 30day to book launch which is about self publishing. I will go through my steemit story here soon :-)
I am so happy for you! What an incredible accomplishment!
Thank you my dear!
You can really be proud of myself! 🤗🤗
One day, I want to write a book by myself too. 😋 How long had you been writing your novel?
Good question...3 months to write it, then a year and a half to find the time to finish the edit, develop the business and a brand. From what I have learned (I am doing a campaign on my author page to help self publishing authors, if you want to write a book please take a look at that as it may save you dome time!) I am confident I can do my next novel in 3 months. 2 month writing and 1 month editing. The book writing itself is quicker if you have a good idea to start with-sounds obvious I know. I say this because I never struggled with the story, just the editing and presentation.
Inspiring story!
