I think this deserves more attention.
First of all, of course, the implication of the situation. If it is indeed a team of professionals running it, then it deducts significantly from the concept of SteemIt being for the people - nobody can compete with a team of professionals that will build up popularity and power quickly. Power breeds more power, and what you have is the same hierarchy as you have in the real world - a chosen few on top, masses at the bottom.
This is, however, a very contentious issue. On the one hand we might be exposing something that SteemIt may want to combat; on the other hand, we could be hurting a truly talented person. I personally do not think she will ever come out with the truth until it is bare and obvious what she has done (if she has indeed done it).
As usual, tread carefully for your own good. I, however, appreciate your bringing this to light. Truth is the most important thing. I am a bit saddened to see that with so much views you got, you barely had any significant upvotes - meaning the big guys probably steer clear of this sensitive issue. I guess, you don't want to hurt a whale, don't want to bite the hand that feeds you. =)
I am not into pictures, but I like honest people ready to confront the norms in a polite fashion. Followed.
maybe we should investigate your blog and niit pick everything YOU do?
Would you like to get flagged to for spreading lies?
Thing is - people only THINK steemit is some decentralized platform that's all about real people. We can follow whoever we want, and create that reality for sure, but the creators and major stakeholders of Steem care about profits. They just want sign ups - authenticity...well that's a bonus, and an ideal a certain segment of the Steemit community has created (I like to think I'm part of that group, the authenticity fans).
People want entertainment too - but most of all they want money.
What happens if Ms sweet J is exposed? Do you think he/she/them will lose even 100 followers ? Probably not. The fact is she/he/them are skilled marketers - using pics of an incredibly beautiful young girl with a life most of us dream of - to fill some void.
Though (I'm just gonna go with her from now on for simplicity's sake lol) she's a good writer - I've read a few posts - I guarantee at good 75% of her male (and some female) followers are not there for her words.
