Some witnesses worthy of a vote. Be part of the process

in #steemit6 years ago (edited)

Have you used up your 30 witness votes? These are your opportunity to have a say in the direction Steemit takes as the witnesses get to choose what changes are made to the blockchain. Your support also helps them financially as being ranked highly gives them more chance of getting rewards.

I support witnesses who I think are doing good things for this platform. Many of them are creating tools to enhance it.

There are two ways to do this. You can set a proxy to vote for you. So if you set me, @steevc, then your votes would be the same as mine. Of you can select your own set. Only the top 100 are listed, but there are others. You can manually enter names in the box. I've found some from posts I've seen and I've also been approached by people who wanted my vote.

BTW it says you can enter those outside the top 50, but the page shows 100.

Vote

Here's are some you may consider:

  • @roelandp is the main organiser of @Steemfest and that alone makes him worth in my eyes.
  • @good-karma is the creator of the eSteem app I'm using to compose this post.
  • @pfunk has sponsored the Open Mic contest for ages.
  • @patrice is part of the @steemcleaners team who try to deal with abuse of Steemit.
  • @dragosroua created steem.supply and does daily reports on crypto.
  • @stoodkev created the excellect @steem-plus that I use all the time to enhance Steemit. It works for Busy too.
  • @justyy created this tool to check if the witnesses you vote for are still active. You don't want to waste your votes.
  • @isnochys is down the list, but he will pay you for voting for him.
  • I met @yensesa at a crypto event in London. He came all the way from Ghana where he exchanges Steem for fiat.
  • @intelliwitness is an old hand on Steemit who now runs a witness.
  • @c0ff33a is a smaller witness who could use some support.
  • @demotruk is a key member of the Irish Steem community. He bought an electric car with Steem.

Please feel free to make your own suggestions in comments. I don't have any spare votes right now, but I review the list now and again.

UPDATE: see the suggestions already added in comments. Should help you use up your votes

Steem on!

Thank you so much @steevc for the mention and also voting for us as your witness. Yensesa as just recently expanded into Nigeria and right now we are not only helping Ghanaians on Steemit but also Nigerians on Steem to easily exchange their Steem/SBD rewards.

Thank you very much for the mention, you have a good selection here and a few I never looked into before. With 131 active Witnesses at present people are spoiled for choice - although getting people to vote at all seems to be struggle.

I like to vote for a few top 20 because they are ones giving the blockchain the biggest support - especially those running nodes. But I also like to support new Witnesses because I think it is important we encourage more to help strengthen and support the blockchain - literally brand new are @sapphic and @poetsunited

Great info i never used witnesses vote so far
I think i wll start now

You should. In fact everyone should. It's part of being a Steemian.

It would be nice, to see @emrebeyler and @holger80 on your list.

both are leading python icons and providing support and tools for steem for free every day
:)
-> beem and emrebeylers tutorials I mean with that :)

Hello, I voted for you as a witness, but have yet to receive any dividend payments as you have advertised.

Hello!
May I ask why you have flagged two of my german posts?
Greets

Well you have made them past of this post

I think @steemcommunity, @qurator, oracle-d, danielsaori and @steempress are all worthy of a vote @steevc.

They are the new type of witness that has the community rather than their own accounts as apriority.

I've just discovered that @krnel was disabled 46 hours ago so that frees up another one of my votes.

Can't disagree with those - @oracle-d has been my most recent addition too....

Your balance is below $0.028. @dustsweeper is now disabled for your account until you transfer new funds. Check out the Dustsweeper FAQ here: https://steemit.com/dustsweeper/@dustsweeper/dustsweeper-faq

thanks for sharing this information. I am also a witness and running some interesting projects.

Recently I've been devoting to @steempayco project. This is a simple initiative for SBD based offline payment.

And I think you will enjoy my witness tool "Witness Insight". Check this out:

Cool. I'll consider you when I have a spare vote

I appreciat it. Hope we will have some stores accepting Steem/SBD in the uk.

That's the dream. For now I have my Wirex card to spend some crypto

I have a few of those in common with you and just added @roelandp to my list. There are still 20 spaces though for the worthy.

There's other suggestions in the comments

That's useful information, thanks.

I'm up to ten out of thirty so far. I agree it's critically important to have witnesses committed to platform growth, so l'm learning as I go.

Pfunk and steemcleaners sound like definites for my list. :)

Thanks for this @steevc, it all confuses me a bit, but it's something I know I need to pay closer attention to.

Thanks for this timely post. I went to review who I had voted for, and found a number who had been disabled. One had been disabled 18 weeks ago, and another 47 weeks ago! But I had no idea.

There needs to be a system where we are notified of witnesses who drop out. Or perhaps a system where our vote is only valid for six months and then we need to vote again.

voted for witness rockstar @steevc

Can i set more than one person to proxy vote for me because i had already told socky that I'm going to set him to proxy vote for me. I like some of the witness you put up there and the project they are running. So i just want to know if its possible to set two people to proxy vote for someone.

You can only have one proxy. It's your choice.

I've set you as my proxy

I will have a look to your list, I still have 8 votes available.
Thanks for sharing

Am yet to vote but my top witnesses are @ausbitbank, @dragosroua and @abh12345. I will need some more information on others to decide. I also like @surpassinggoogle and @good-karma for all they do for the community

No time like the present to start voting. You have nothing to lose.

Thanks for the mention =)
Glad you like our extension!

I'm a new witness, trying to bring difference to the blockchain.

I run my witness as a not for profit, we are independently audited and focused on 100 returns to the community.

You would also be supporting one of the few female witnesses on the blockchain.

I used to have my vote set to a proxy, but I recently changed that. As I have started to meet and follow more people on Steemit, I found that there were witnesses that I knew I specifically wanted to vote for. Thanks for sharing this great info. I know I am not using all of my votes, so I might need to look back into that!

I used a proxy too and everyone could at least do that so their vote counts

True, if you are just starting on the platform it is hard to know where best to put your votes. Using a trusted proxy can help alleviate some of that stress early on. Sometimes it is just as hard to find a trustworthy proxy though!

Lots of new witnesses for me. Some of the ones you mentioned are already on my list.
So thanks I will check the new ones (for me) out. I still have 8 witness spots available so I could use some good recommendations!
Cheers,
Peter

I for sure will.
Thanks!

I haven’t yet but will be looking into it soon.

There are quite a few in your list that I have never even heard of to be honest... so I have to say thank you for sharing the names and why you voted for them. There's two I will be checking out as I have a few open witness slots.

Thanks for the shoutout, really appreciated :)

No problem. Happy to help spread the word

@Steemhq also give you an upvote and monthly steem share. @Embreyler no longer give incentive but I still supporting him. For me I do not support bot own even if I use bidbots.

@steevc i have just voted for 1 vote of witness till now. that one was for @surpassinggoogle. i found them better till now. I am working here and i will do vote for witness more .

You should vote for more. They do appreciate it.

Don't forget @jackmiller, one of the most dedicated witnesses on Steemit. @ironshield

I already follow @good-karma & @dragosroua, looks like the tool made by @justyy interesting too. Thanks for the post!

Edit: wow!! it seems I have some inactive witnesses on my list.

I have no clue about this...
Let me do some research..haha..

Have you read the FAQ? I would hope so.

No i haven't...i would pretty soon though :)

please tell us more information about witnesses worthy of a vote.I think this is not much information. Can we really make use out of it?

There's more information if you go looking for it. It's really up to you to do some research. I am just doing what I can. It's not like I'm likely to make a day's pay for my post.

okay thanks for your good response i will get more information through internet

There's lots of info on Steemit. The witness page has links to their posts so you can see what they do

sure thank you
