Wow this is very cool! I wonder if people could possibly earn credits to play these games via something like this Proposal To Bring Non Intrusive Optional Ads To Steemit I think advertisers paying to be a part of a small optional feed that allows users to watch videos to gain tokens that they could use to try to win at certain games (with no need to ever lose any money) would be incredibly valuable. It would allow the developers to have a pool of money to use to payout from and also redistribute the money advertisers would use to promote their content in the optional game/advertisement section.
I'm really excited to see if this would work, as I believe we do need ad revenue pumped into steemit, but not need anything that people don't personally want to see. And we would not be in debt to a company and could still have the developers be solely in charge of all the decision without being in anyone elses pockets (hopefully that makes sense)
I guess it's a way to spend our SBD at slots machine. This will be great. To bad I powered up mine.
I think it may be even better to have the credits to use in this system to be something you can be rewarded for (As a former gambling addict I think it would be in poor taste to allow people to gamble away their earnings, but that is not my decision) I feel @steve-walschot should be rewarded a small amount with each spin and that advertisers should fund the winnings. Best of both worlds. Even if @steve-walschot only made a nickel worth of SBD initially and slowly decreased it over time due to to volume of people playing, he would make a lot of money, while entertaining users at the same time.
You are 100% right. Even those SBD we receive seem unreal, they are real money. I also believe it would be impossible to incorporate winnings in SBD or steem without someone losing them.
I think by having advertisers fund the pool to pay out from (by having a feed with optional ads), as I said in the above comment (with this link Proposal To Bring Non Intrusive Optional Ads To Steemit ) might be great for everyone if the developers decide that is a route they wish to go. (I just noticed you upvoted my above post, but still think I clarify a little further here)
Well, we've got the last 2 of your bullet points in common...
Cheers, @steve-walschot

Did you make a steem game?
I'm anxious to see how you combined a game with the steem network.
Gambling on Steemit? It's clever, but I think I'll have to stay away from it!
