How to Become a Steemit Millionaire

in #steemit7 years ago
  • 1,000 followers is only as good as 1 if only one reads your posts

  • Follow what you love so you have fresh topics on your feed to write thoughtful comments about

  • Write, video, photograph your passions! Your passion shows and shines much brighter than trying to be "popular" with a topic you have little or no interest in

  • Reinvest! Put at least 25% of your SBD back into Steem Power (do this through the market because you get better value than 100% power up or exchanging it)

  • READ ... and when you're done READ MORE, then comment on what you read.

  • Upvote quality for both the curation reward AND the Karma

  • BE PATIENT!!! Nobody becomes a millionaire overnight without winning the lottery or getting an inheritance.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. Follow your heart and find the flow that feels best for you. Being patient is the key as well as staying present and unattached to the outcome. We all want to be successful but what does that mean to each of us. Money? Sure but it's also the feeling of community that Steemit provides. I also agree with read, read, read and then, read some more. I know that is not always easy when we're juggling so many things but it will pay off. I wrote a post about reading: https://steemit.com/writing/@sidewalktraveler/taking-a-walk-through-the-steemit-community. I am very impressed with the talent that is here and more coming every minute. I consider you one of my mentors and Steemit friends. Cheers!

Thank you very much, and I will read your article on reading!

It really is about community. There is no success here without becoming involved and developing connections. Even the whales like @jerrybanfield bring community to the focus of their posts!

Yes - wholeheartedly agree - read, then read more, then comment :) Sometimes I have a 'feeling' the multitude only skim and scan - write a generic comment, unrelated to anything posted :) On the plus side, steemit is teaching me non-attachmnet in a different way I could've imagined ((om))

One of the big points about Steemit is you will get less than ROI by putting ONLY financial assets in and self voting. So reading is a core requirement to be successful.

Sure you don't get paid to read on Steemit (although you can earn from curating), but reading and commenting thoughtfully is the only sure way to build a following that reads your posts.

You are right on with reading and being unattached to the outcome. Connected to you now!

Great Advices! Will try to follow them :)
The greatest thing is the felling of community help and the feeling that if everyone succeed than you are successful too!
Thank you @timeshiftarts !

There's no reason we can't all be successful with Steemit. We just need to work for it!

Thanks for the thoughtful comment.

Steem on!

Love you article makes a good and thought read. Kindly follow me @rogerblu

What did you like about it?

Consider reading several posts and writing a response that relates to the post. That way you won't have to ask for followers because people will follow you to see what you have to say.

What is there to like about it i told you it was thoughtful so what does thoughtful mean to you. No need to discuss if you asked for a discussion sure you would of gotten one.

Well you said it makes for a "good and thought[ful] read". What did it get you thinking about? Is it advice you would apply to your own work? Do you have strategies I haven't mentioned? There is a lot that could be said...

really nice post

Thank you. Do you use these strategies? Can you offer other tips to readers?

i will try to follow these strategies

What an excellent and generous list, @timeshiftarts! Thank you! I do them all. Am not a millionaire... YET, but workin' on it :-)

I hope that you grow through your efforts and persistence.

An added tip;
Don't give up when things are slow. Instead double up! When things get tough, use them to get tougher!

@timeshiftarts, I can't recall which grape this applies to (it's a red), but because it grows in aridity, it gives that much more flavor.

I am like that wine-grape. Not goin' anywhere!

Thanks SO much for your encouragement, and wise tips.

Well said.

Your energy can absolutely be felt through the computer screen.

Passion is a must to succeed at anything :)

Thank you. There are days I'm more passionate and days I feel a little less ... today I'm going to try to get down to Seaport Village ... it may be destroyed within a few years.

Why is Seaport Village possibly going to be destroyed?

Here's an article about the redevelopment plans

I'll talk more about it when I post my blog.

Oh no. Development. Sheesh.

I like it the way it is.

Take some photos while you're there and post for us :) I look forward to reading your post detailing this...

I plan to take many photos to preserve some of what will be lost.

You never know, there is always a chance it can be stopped...

Nice and useful information, Gonna try to make a nice place on Steemit;-)
With respect and kind words, no hate and always with Love;-)

Thank you for the encouragement :)
