i am talking specifically about whales. sometimes i see them decline if its something to do with a benefit. however i think whale posts attract a huge proportion of the common vote because many people vote on their votes for a chance to get part of the huge payout instead of using it to vote on minnows who deserve it. and whales usually generate enough money on curating alone. i think declining payout is using it for something, because its throwing the money back in the pool so that others can benefit from it. I think more whales should do this if they dont have the time/energy to create projects that benefit others. its a valid alternative.

I see your point, I forget that by declining payout the reward pool is higher. I just see so many projects needing funding that if the whales donated their post earnings it would could help another minnow or project. I would love to see a fundraising project where members could apply for support. Let me ask you Torico, if you were given a large delegation or several thousand SBD to use as you see fit, what would you do with it?
